Maintaining a good skin care regimen is very important to keep our skin looking healthy and radiant. Having a good skin care ritual also helps us delay and even treat some signs of skin aging such as dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles. Skin care regimens may vary from person to person because not everyone have the same skin type and condition. The products that you will use may be different from your sister or your bestfriend, nevertheless, the fundamentals of skin care are essentially the same. Let me share to you a skin care regimen that you could try to help you achieve healthier and younger looking skin.
-
Cleanse. Cleansing is always the first step in any skin care regimen. There are two ways actually of cleaning the skin. Of course, there's the water method wherein you use a cleanser then you use water to rinse the product from your face. The other method is using cleansing products such as cold creams and cleansing oils to clean the face. Some people with dry skin prefers the latter to infuse moisture to their skin, but in my own personal opinion, the water method still works best. Use a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. There are a lot of cleansers in the market that caters to specific skin types such as oily, dry, normal and combination.

Exfoliate. Exfoliating the skin is very effective in sloughing away the old cells on the surface of our skin. With regular exfoliation, you will notice that your skin will look and feel softer and smoother. Always remember to exfoliate once a week to maintain glowing skin all the time. Exfoliating everyday is a big no no. If you do that, you'll end up damaging your skin. Again, there are a lot of products available in the market that caters to different skin types. But if you want to go au naturel, you can use olive oil and sugar to slough those dead skin cells away.
Tone. Notice that I didn't put a number 3 on this step. Toning is done to remove the remaining traces of dirt on our skin. Some people swear by it while some don't. This part is purely optional because in my opinion, if you have a good cleanser you won't need a toner. It's just purely a matter of preference.
- Moisturize. Moisturizing the skin is very important because it hydrates the skin and helps seal moisture in. Remember that as the day progress, the water in our skin evaporates, making it look dry, so it's really important to moisturize to seal that moisture in. There's a wide array of moisturizers available in the market today that caters to different skin types. Yes, even people with oily skin need to moisturize. Some moisturizers double up as anti aging creams so that's like hitting two birds with one stone. Eye creams are also important apart from your regular moisturizer because it helps protect the area around your eyes. This part is the most sensitive part and is very prone to wrinkles and fine lines so it's very important to dab on some eye cream before sleeping.
As an additional skin care tip, don't forget to wear sunscreen after you take a bath on the morning. Even if you're not going out, UV rays can still penetrate through your windows so it's important to stay protected.
In search for the best anti aging solution in the market? The Facial Skincare Device (FSD) from Radiancy is a highly effective skin care device that targets the signs of aging on the skin such as wrinkles. It smoothens and evens out the skin tone making the skin look and feel healthier and younger.
