Clickbank is the largest marketplace on the internet for selling digital products and software applications. The profit potential for anyone choosing to sell their product on Clickbank is massive, but like any new market that you enter you must learn how to work the system to get maximum returns for your efforts.
Clickbank is a real marketplace, and as such it is a place where product creators and authorised sellers offer real products that add value to their customers' lives. Too many people view the internet as a paradise for scam artists and crooks. But you are not a scam artist and you just want to make a good return on your product, or products, and make a good living like anyone else. That is why Clickbank is such a good marketplace to be a part of.
From the perspective of a merchant, you will have achieved "expert" status when you are consistently selling a variety of products. When you get started, aim at putting at least five products into the marketplace. Examine the various product categories to find niches that fit your product portfolio.
As soon as you have your start-up products to sell on Clickbank, waste no time in finding good keywords that will bring traffic to those items and get sales moving. Selecting the right keywords is a science, but you can use various internet tools to find good keywords that have a track record of generating traffic.
Come up with twenty or thirty good keywords that you can build your Clickbank marketing plan around, then that's a solid starting place. With your list of keywords, you should now write articles for submission to article directories based around those keywords.
We are not all writers, but there are some good ghostwriters, on services like Elance, that can write articles for you at a reasonable rate and for a reasonable price. The writer may, or may not, know keyword optimization, but as a general rule the keyword should be in the article title and then three or four times in a 500-word article.
There are many good article directories that you can use to put your articles into internet circulation, and they will drive traffic to your products if your keywords are good. When you first set up on Clickbank, establish accounts with these article directories because you will use them a lot. Don't just rest with a few articles but try to write an initial set of four or five articles for each product, and then following up over the next week or two, try to kick out two or three a day around each product using your keywords and get them into circulation.
When you have the system for sales and promotion in place, simply repeat with further products that you create to build your Clickbank catalogue.
As a final thought, you should be aware that new and exciting ways to promote your products are being created all the time. Facebook and twitter, for example, are emerging as excellent places to bring awareness of what you have to offer. RSS feeds and advertisements on related internet websites are also well-proven methods of generating more traffic for you.
Your education should be ongoing. Read what you can on the subject and a good level of success will surely be yours.
