Would you like to learn about the fundamentals of a full golf swing?

The objective in the game of golf is to hit a golf ball into a hole that measures about four and a half inches in perimeter in as few strokes as possible.

Years ago there sere seven holes, eleven holes or as many as twenty five holes. Or people played as many holes as they wished.

It was not until competition came into being that rules were established and written. Today, we play the familiar eighteen or thirty six holes.

When you watch the professionals on the PGA tour play, you will see as many styles and techniques are there are players.

Do not forget these professionals did not arrive on the green in just a few hours. They took lessons from excellent professional instructors and practiced to correct their shortcomings and refine their talents.

Would you like to learn the correct mechanics to execute an excellent golf swing?

You may want to consider becoming an apprentice with a professional instructor. Not only can a professional instructor show you the correct methods which give you excellent results, but they can also show you what causes a bad golf swing and demonstrate those results.

For example, when you hear of a player doing and up and out of the shot, which means that the hit sent the golf ball to the right. The professional can demonstrate the body placement that created that bad shot. Then he will show you the correct body alignment and follow through to direct the swing correctly.

Because of my many interests I seem to be a professional student. It has been my personal experience that when an instructor can demonstrate incorrect technique and their causes which produce poor results and then demonstrate correct technique which produces excellent results…that is an experienced instructor. They do not get any better than that.

Have you been in the bunker?

We have all been there. If you are still learning how to play the game; laugh. It is a game.

Here are three tips to get out of the bunker.

  1. Hit the ball once or

  2. Kick the ball out with your foot or

  3. Pick up the ball and

Take a break. See you at the clubhouse.

The golf swing is accomplished with:

• The grip

• Your spinal alignment or posture

• How you pivot or turn your body

• Your hand and arm activity

• And how you set up to aim towards your target.

Your mental focus and mental attitude is also extremely important.
