To start baking your boule dough which you have stored in your refrigerator, take it out and let it warm to room temperature. Place it on a pizza peel lined with a baking sheet or something similar so that the dough will not stick.

During the time when you warm your boule dough, it might still rise. But it depends upon the age of the dough or how long you have stored it in the fridge. Dough that is placed just a few hours up to a day may still rise.

The warming will take about 40 minutes including the rising (if applicable). Do not worry if it doesn’t rise more since during the baking process it will surely grow in size.

Sprinkle the surface of the dough once it is completely warmed. Pull out a piece or cut a piece using a knife that you will use for baking. When you already have the desired amount, place it back inside the refrigerator.

Gently mold the dough into the shape you wish. This could be round, elongated, or loaves.

Sprinkle more floor if needed so that the dough will not stick in your hand. Do be careful on the handling, as you shouldn’t overdo it. Simply stretch it, roll, and mold until it reaches the perfect shape.

Put the molded dough on top of the parchment covered pizza peel. Preheat the oven 20 minutes before baking to 450 degrees. To make the oven warmer, place a baking stone in the middle rack. Prior to baking, dust the surface of the dough with more flour, and using a serrated knife, slash patterns on top of the dough.

After the dough is ready and the oven is hot, slide the dough onto the baking stone. The baking stone will be hot enough to immediately transfer heat onto the dough generating a good crust.

Bake it for about 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and firm to touch. Place it on a wire rack to cool off completely.
