The Goalsetter MVP basketball hoop is a great hoop with great features. Its backboard is 42 inches high by 72 inches wide with glass that is a 3/8 inch thick. The backboard is made out of fully tempered glass that is tough and will be able to handle aggressive play on the basketball court. There is also a acrylic backboard option available for players. All us basketball players know that glass backboards offer better response and playability. The backboard has a 1.5 inch steel H frame that provides extra stability, and there are Nylon bushings at each connection point.
On the backboard is a ¼ inch thick steel plate for easier rim mounting. The Goalsetter MVP basketball hoop has a 6 inch in ground square post, a one piece structural post, and a steel construction post. It has die-formed extension arms, and wide grip one piece extension arms. The extension arms effectively counter the backboard torque, which is the shaking of the backboard. The post is adjustable from 6 feet to 10 feet. There is a 4 foot extension from post to backboard, and an internal height adjustment mechanism.
The internal height adjustment mechanisms includes an adjustment that is entirely concealed, an easy to reach handle, the adjustment mechanism is shielded from the elements, and it has a patented safety compression jack. The anchoring system for the Goalsetter MVP hoop has a superior ground anchor hinge system, it allows for complete assembly of goal prior to raising it upright, and it has the highest quality foundation for stability and durability. It has three options for rims. There is the R10554 GS collegiate breakaway rim, the R10426 GS ultra flex rim, and there is the R10326 heavy duty flex rim.
The GS collegiate breakaway rim for this basketball hoop is 5/8 inch high tensile steel rim, durable orange baked powdercoat finish, and it has a steel cover plate. The ultra flex rim has basically the same features of the collegiate rim except that it doesn’t have a steel cover plate. The heavy duty rim is built for touch and rugged play of home court basketball, and it basically has all the features of a standard basketball rim.
