We’ve all heard the saying ‘If you build it, they will come’ from the Field of Dreams movie. We also know that, ‘the day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.’

But why do we want everything now. It’s because we’re conditioned through the media that everything is supposed to happen miraculaoulsy quickly in our lives e.g. ‘Thinner thighs in 30 days’, ‘Quit smoking in 2 days’, ‘Build your database list to 20,000 in 4 months’, ‘Sell $1.5million dollars of product in 12 months’! Slow down for a minute.

Yes, I imagine all these can be done… by someone who has been doing it for years. For most people what I see is that the above sets up completely unrealistic expectations of what we are capable of, and when our initial efforts don’t meet those grandiose self-imposed expectations quickly, we begin to go into a place of self doubt, worry, fear and then inevitably, resentment and anger and wanting to throw everything out and start again. Some of us go from one shiny so called magical pill to another and continue to go around and around the merry-go-round trying everything and still ending up with nothing.

As solo-entrepreneurs begin to implement major steps in their marketing, they often see immediate results, which is comforting. But as they begin to stretch beyond their comfort zone and tackle even bigger projects or challenges that require extra effort for implementation, and it takes some time to do so, sometimes the results need some time to take hold.

Most business owners ask the question quickly ‘Where are all the results from all my hard work?’ I’ve been working my butt off so where are the millions of dollars? I expect to see results immediately!' When results don’t appear immediately doubt begins to creep in… then worry… then fear and finally anger… why did I spend so much time for nothing.

But here’s the thing you must remember, when you are charting new territory in your business it does take some time for the seeds you have planted to grow roots, to sprout, grow and bear fruit. That’s why you have to be meticulous about planning and then do whatever it takes to foster those plans. Plus it’s important to plant as many seeds as possible, so that you have different bits and pieces cropping up and therefore you are not just relying on just one thing in your business to bring in the money.

Never be in a place of resentment. To attract outcomes quickly be in a place of Positive Expectation. Be in the mindset that you are continually telling yourself that you are positively expecting great results, no matter what you see in front of you. When you get into a place of self-doubt remind yourself of the above and then a sign will show up, the project advances and the results start coming in. But if you stay in that place of doubt or blame it surely gets worse.

You create your future and you create your results based on how you choose to see the world and the way you react to life. You are ultimately responsible for your own success, your actions, and most importantly how you see your own progress and success. A person coming from a victorious point of view will always see opportunity no matter what’s in front of them. How do YOU see what’s in front of you? Victim or Victorious.
