How to become pretty is as easy as 1-2-3. If you have a visit with an image consultant they will talk about 3 areas: your appearance, your speech, and your actions. This article only deals with the first area, your appearance. For a woman your appearance consists of 3 things, hair, makeup, and clothes. Look at the cover of any women’s magazine and you will see that they generally address each of these items on their covers.

Hair. Go to a hair professional and bring them pictures of hairstyles that you like. The stylist should then take into consideration your face shape, your coloring, and time investment to come up with a good style for you. You should also a have some good "go-to" hairstyles that you know how to do quickly.

Makeup. Visit a makeup counter of a cosmetics line you like and ask them for a makeup class. A lot of times, if you buy a certain amount of product the makeup class is free. The important thing is to look at the makeup of the women at the cosmetics counter. Go somewhere that you like the makeup of the employees. If you have less than perfect skin, makeup may be able to correct some of this, otherwise try visiting a dermatologist. YouTube also has some great videos on how to apply makeup.

Clothes. This is a little bit trickier because body shapes are so different and not all colors look good on everyone. Think of a color that when you wear it you always get compliments. Wear more of that color. The biggest thing is to start dressing nicer everyday. This takes a lot of discipline. This can also be done economically by only investing in clothes you will actually wear.

Now you may be thinking. What about the body? Don’t you have to be thin to be pretty? That can be answered with one word, Oprah. She is pretty, but she is not thin. Additionally, the correct clothing can help hide certain body flaws and help you look thinner. Notice that Oprah’s hair, makeup, and clothing are always flawless; she is focusing on the variables that she can control.

These three steps outlined above are easy to implement. Once you learn these skills, they will last you for the rest of your life and your lessons on how to become pretty will seem like part of a very, very, pretty dream.
