Those of us in the skin care industry or otherwise aware of the anti aging market know something that most consumers do not. What wrinkle cream makers do not want you to know is that all wrinkle creams do not work the same. In fact only a few wrinkle creams even work enough for results to be visible to the naked eye. At the end of the day only the most expensive active ingredients are the ones that will provide a level of results that people can notice.
Just because a producer includes the most expensive ingredients does not automatically mean that those creams must cost much more than other wrinkle creams. In fact, any rise in cost should virtually be minimal once you consider the volume with which these products are produced. Consumers should not make their decision on the cost alone as many merchants over price their product in an attempt to trick customers into believing that these products are the very best money can buy.
The secret to the success of the wrinkle cream has to do with the quality of the active ingredient and the concentration of that ingredient. Many manufacturers try to take advantage of consumers by including less effective, less expensive versions of quality ingredients. Yes, they are less expensive to include, they do lack some of the results. With names that look like the quality ingredients very few people even know that they are spending large amounts of money on generic ingredients when they could be purchasing the real thing for the exact same price.
An example of this is Matrixyl. This amazing ingredient is one of the most powerful peptides used in the removal of wrinkles. Now many merchants include the less effective, less expensive Matrixyl 3000. They have the marketability of the name matrixyl without the cost. The problem is for the buyer. Most people do not know enough about these types of ingredients to realize the difference. In addition to using the lower quality ingredient, these same wrinkle cream producers, also skimp on the % of the active ingredient included. With a lower quality product, it is logical that you would need more of it included for the effectiveness to be the same. But this is not the case. Consumers are tricked into believing they are receiving the very best in wrinkle removal at a competitive price, and they are getting low potency, generic wrinkle cream.
The only way to protect from this happening is for consumers to be educated. Do not take the wrinkle cream manufacturer’s word for it. You must seek out and appeal to third party opinions. Wrinkle cream review sites are a fantastic place for doing that. The key however to any review site is the involvement of actual consumers. Anyone who can use a computer can build a review blog and offer advice. But a honest exchange of information pertaining to real life use of these products is certainly the most effective way for consumers to read about which products are working the best.
In addition to these sites, consumers have to be aware of which ingredients are the most effective for the specific needs that their skin may have. Once identified, these ingredients are easily researched. Clinical studies documenting exact results and at what active percentage are readily available for successful ingredients. On the whole, wrinkle creams should include 3% of the original ingredient. You need this high level of potency to insure visible results. Anything less powerful is a waste of time and money. The results may come, but they will come after prolonged use, increasing the total cost of the results you are looking for. At the end of the day, people are looking for the most effective results at the most cost effective price. identifying which ingredients work the best and right level of concentration will certainly make the quest for the best wrinkle cream that much easier.
