Simple effort to get rid of head lice

Lice infestation can be a persistent annoyance, especially in group settings. So it becomes essential that you get rid of the lice as soon as possible. Undoubtedly lice are hard bugs to get rid of. And if you find that your child still continue to have lice for more than 1 week after you have started treatment then you must check it out the reasons before you seek for a doctor’s help. It may be because that your child is still being exposed to someone with lice or it may be due to some nits that may be left behind or your treatment may not be as effective.
It should be remembered that the head lice survive as long as they are on human body and meets its death once they fall off. So to get rid of the lice and their eggs, and help prevent a lice re-infestation it becomes important to take care of the other factors or dos that are often overlooked besides paying attention to your hair and they are washing all bed linens and clothing that's been recently worn by anyone in your home who's infested in very hot water, vacuum clean any upholstered furniture and carpets in your home and even in your car, soak hair care items like combs, headbands, barrettes, and hair ties in rubbing alcohol or medicated shampoo for 1 hour or even in hot water. These are said to do so because lice are easily passed from person to person in the same house, bedmates and infested family members. Taking such steps by you and other members will surely bring a successful result of preventing re-infestation of lice.
There are some don’ts that should be also looked into the lice treatment so that your effort get your child and yourself completely lice free does not go waste. First and foremost regarding medication is never doing anything beyond what it is given in the instruction. It is advisable that you follow the doctor’s advice. Avoid using the same medication more than three times on one person. If it is ineffective then report your doctor about it. He/ she will recommend some other options after diagnosing the situations. Never use more than one medication for lice treatment at a time. Second important don’t goes with the use of hair product like the use of hair dryer and use of hair cream, shampoo or conditioner. It is strictly reminded not to use a hair dryer after applying any of the currently available scalp treatments because some of these products may contain inflammable ingredients. It is also reminded not to use any cream rinse or shampoo/conditioner combination before applying lice medication. And the third is never use sprays used for controlling pest to try to get rid of the lice, as they can be harmful and can have an adverse affects.
In the end it could be said that how stubborn these head critters are they can be removed but for that you need to be patient and must follow the treatments and preventive tips as directed by your doctor for keeping the bugs at bay. And you will surely be the winner against the fight with the lice and the nits on your head thus keeping your family lice-free and all the kinds of embarrassments that you and the person infested with lice encountered.
