In this article Thrive Learning Institute covers some of the ins and outs of the best ways to manage your eBay auctions utilizing eBay Auction Management Tools.  Thrive Learning Institute understands that to make real money on eBay it takes the ability to close several auctions a day and manage them effectively so that you do not end up buried in the paperwork.

A professional eBay seller, who is selling multiple items on a daily basis, will quickly realize that it can be a tedious process to manage an ever-growing list of current listings, create new listings on a daily basis, manage listings, and edit listings.  In fact, a seller will probably ask the question is there not an easier way to do all of this?  Fortunately the answer is yes, there is an easier way to manage eBay business.

EBay and other companies have put together programs that do just that.  These auction management services will allow a seller to, among other things, create listings with customized templates, insert scrolling galleries of other listings, store all images quickly, list items, and even schedule auction items to list at certain times.

There are a few different options when it comes to auction management services.  Most customers try more than one before settling on the one that they prefer.  Initially, a seller needs to be comfortable with listing items directly on eBay so that he/she is familiar with the process and understands the different options available there. Once comfortable with that, and ready to try another program, the seller should try one of these services to make things a bit easier.

When items are listed through these services eBay fees for the items still apply as well as listing upgrades.  All of these fees will be tallied up and the entire sellers fee will be paid at the end of each month.

The first of these auction management services discussed is Turbo Lister.  This is not an all in one type of service; it is really just a listing program.  EBay created the Turbo Lister for medium to high volume sellers who needed a quicker way to list items.  It is not an online application; it is a program that can actually be downloaded and used on a computer.  It will allow working offline and then connecting to the internet when it is time to list items or make appropriate changes to items.  This program is completely free and there are a number of things a seller can do with this program such as creating professional looking listings with a design editor and listing templates, saving and reusing listings, uploading multiple listings at once, and making edits to active listings.

A second option, also coming from eBay, is Selling Manager.  This was created for medium to high volume sellers who need to manage their listings.  This is much more than a listing tool; it actually manages business and is used in conjunction with Turbo Lister.  It is an online tool so there are no programs to download.  There is a monthly fee of $4.99 which would be added to a sellers fee every month.  Selling Manager is actually free to eBay members who sign up for a basic eBay store.  EBay does offer a thirty day free trial.  Use Turbo Lister to create, edit and list items, monitor listings, follow up with customers, and print shipping labels.  Some of the features are: manage pending, active, and sold listings, quickly view which post-scale activities are completed with columns, save time communicating with buyers, using customized email templates and feedback, print invoices and shipping labels, automatically re-list items, and send feedback to multiple buyers at once.

The Selling Manager PRO is an upgrade and essentially an all in one program that does the work of Turbo Lister and the original Selling Manager.  It also has additional features like managing your inventory, creating sales reports, and many other features.  Selling Manager PRO is designed for high volume sellers or small business sellers.  It is available for $15.99 a month and there is a thirty day trial.  Features include, but are not limited to: all the features of Turbo Lister and Selling Manger, creating listings, it is completely online and accessible from any computer with internet access, inventory management, automated feedback as soon as a buyer pays, creating monthly profit and loss reports, automated Payment Received and Item has Shipped emails sent to buyers, find out your products success ratio and average selling price, and export sales date to QuickBooks.
