Much different from men , the ideal body shape for women would be slim waist and slightly wider or proportionate hips. Overfull weight in their waist has more impossibility to cause heart disease so to slim down waist is what some fat women supposed to do first.
Waist-to-hip ratio really is able to determine weather your body is optimal or bad shape. So you will also need to measure the circumference of your hips as well as the waist in inches then calculate your waist-to-hip ratio, divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement and record your score. An ideal number would be a ratio of under 0.8. You should do something to track your score and change gradually day by day if you need.
