Another skill game - Rummy Games involve one or more decks of cards and the aim is to get rid of all the cards dealt to you by forming 'melds' - a set of three of more cards of the same value OR a run of cards of the same suit, such as 3,4,5 of clubs.

At the start of the game - all players take a seat and will be dealt a single card - the player with the highest card will get the first turn in the game - and potentially the upper hand. (See image below for High Card Deal)

As you seen in the right image - the high card has been dealt to Player 'Cyberdogz' and this allows him the first turn. What will usually happen now is the seats will adjust and your main seat will be at the foot of the page so you can see your cards more easily.

Now each player will be dealt cards and with these cards they will try to make melds to 'add' to the table. There is only one rule though before they can add cards to the middle of the table - since this version of Rummy is called 'Kalooki 51' there are only two obvious adjustments from the 'Original' version and they are that in order to place melds on the table - your useable cards must total 51+ and that instead of being dealt 10 cards - the players are dealt 13.

With the cards having been dealt out - it is up to the player to sort them into categories so that they can be laid as melds as soon as possible. For example - if the player was dealt an array of cards that included three different Kings (e.g King of Hearts, Clubs and Spades) this would be an acceptable meld and might be shuffled to the left hand side of the cards as not to confuse these with the 'unmeldable' cards. When it is the players turn - he/she will take a card from the middle pile by clicking on it - and - should they prefer that card to one of their own - they will choose a card from their hand and place that in the middle - swapping the new card for an old 'unmeldable' one. By doing this, the player will eventually be able to make melds totalling 51 so that they can lay down some cards and if they can beat the other players to it, will be able to get rid of all their cards in the same manner.

There are some important things to be made aware of. Once the player has totalled over 51 in melds (e.g. Three Kings and a Run of 7,8,9,10 of Diamonds) They can select those cards and then click the middle of the table - and they will be laid there. These melds can be 'added to' at any time by either player as long as they have laid melds of their own in the middle. For example if one player has laid the cards above and the other player has the Jack and Queen of Diamonds - they can select those cards from their hand - then click on the meld laid on the table and those cards will be added to it.
