STOP Lying To Yourself!

That’s right your lies are killing people everyday! Sadly the most important person you are killing is yourself!
As a restaurant management recruiter, I speak with people everyday from all across this great nation of ours and I can tell you that our history of lying has never been greater than at present. This destructive behavior is actually fostered by our society and our workplace. Although they are partially to blame, you are actually influenced the most by your parents when you were a child.
Have you ever said, “I can’t”?
Chances are pretty good that you have!
Well, let me explain something to you. There is no “can’t”! That is all a load of bull that has been fed to you and you ate it up and asked for seconds.
There is nothing as human beings that “can’t” be done. You either choose or want to do something or you do not. When you say, “I can’t” you are essentially confirming your own hidden agenda that your mind holds dear. Your mind is not doing this because it doesn’t like you, but rather to keep you safe. Most people dislike change because their own comfort zones are small and uneducated.
I get this all the time with my candidates. They say, “I’m not good enough for that position” or “I’m not qualified to get this new career opportunity”. And you know what? With that type of thinking you won’t and then you confirm that you were right in the first place! Somehow this behavior makes us happy deep down inside, even though it kills us slightly each time we do it.
Do we stop? Hell no we don’t stop and we keep doing it which pushes us further backward in our professional and personal lives and stunts our growth as human beings.
If you can’t tell or feel that I have just returned from a life-changing seminar, I would guess your mind is working on hurting you some more.
I know that everyone is put here for a reason and regardless of what you spiritually believe in there are no flawed people!
You were PERFECT the moment you were born and you’re still perfect. It’s your thoughts that are flawed. Luckily for you they are easy to change, but once again it comes down to choice.
Do you truly want to improve your life… or keep lying to yourself?
The choice is yours and yours alone!
