There has been no shortage of grief and tragedy linked to what may already be the greatest environmental catastrophe in US history. BP started the "top kill" operations to stop the flow of oil on May 26th, 2010, but the operation did not overcome the flow from the well. The spill could produce mass casualties and steep decline of wild life populations in the coming weeks, months and years. The situation in the Gulf is unprecedented for wildlife in terms of magnitude and numbers of species involved.

Astrology / Vedic Astrology, if a good or bad event happens in a family, there will be a clear indication of that event in the astrology chart of the head of the household. If a Company or an Organization goes through a good or bad time financially, there will be a clear indication in the astrology chart of the CEO of that company. In a similar manner if a country goes through a good or bad time there will be clear indications of that good or bad time in the astrology chart of the President of the country. I found a very difficult and challenging time for President Bush. Now this greatest environmental catastrophe happened in the US history, and as an Astrologer I can see it coming from the President Obama’s astrology chart.

According to Indian Astrology / Vedic Astrology President Obama is a Capricorn ascendant with ascendant at 21 degrees 56 minutes. The Lord of Ascendant, and 2nd house of speech & money Saturn (2 degrees 06 minutes) is in 12th house in Capricorn sign with 12th lord Jupiter (7 degrees 38 minutes), According to Vedic Astrology at present President Obama is going through Jupiter Mahadasha and Rahu bhukti. Jupiter is the ruler of 12th house in President Obama’s chart. Transit Jupiter entered Pisces sign (a watery sign) on May 1st, 2010, and came directly opposite transit Saturn in Virgo. Transit Mars entered Leo sign on May 25th, 2010, and is also aspecting transit Jupiter in Pisces by its 8th aspect. Transit Jupiter is badly aspected both by transit Saturn and transit Mars at this time. Mars is a badhaka planet for President Obama. This clearly indicates a difficult and challenging period for President Obama, and the problem is related with Oil spill in the sea because Jupiter is the lord of Pisces, a watery sign, and at present transit Jupiter is transiting a water sign that is Pisces, and came directly opposite transit Saturn. The wild life population in the sea is represented by Jupiter because Jupiter rules the watery sign Pisces. The casualties of wild life population are happening because transit Jupiter is transiting a watery sign and came directly opposite transit Saturn. Transit Jupiter will go retrograde in third week of July this year, and will come opposite transit Saturn in August, 2010 again. So in my opinion the Oil spill problem will not be fixed at least until first week of September 2010. So the period until first week of September is not a good period for President Obama.
