One of the most unique dog breeds are the golden retrievers. They are branded as very intelligent, loving, gentle, playful, and always want to please everybody around. When someone sees a golden retriever puppy’s cute little face, there’s no doubt that he would be taken home by its new owner especially when attacked with its wet kisses. This is simply because they are just irresistible.
However, there are lots of things to consider when owning a golden retriever. One of which is the cost of having one. For a start, purchasing a healthy and energetic golden retriever will cost you around $250. If you have chosen a puppy with a champion lineage, the cost would amount up to $1000 and even more. That is only an initial cost. Aside from the daily expenses of food, they must also be provided of warm bed, grooming and veterinary care. In addition these, accessories such as dog collar and leash for their walk and toys for their past time are also necessary.
Veterinary care is important as their food. Providing your golden retrievers with proper vitamins and immunization accompanied with proper food would not only make your golden retriever healthy and strong but you’ll also extend its life span. In return, you will have a greater time to have a happy and wonderfully fulfilling bonding experience.
Golden retrievers, like humans, would also want to be pampered. Having them groomed regularly would be healthy to them as well. By grooming means, bathing and brushing them regularly. This will keep their skin healthy and their coats shiny. Some are even prone to skin disorders, that’s why making regular grooming a habit would keep them in good shape and very much appealing to look at.
Giving your golden retriever gifts or treats is also a good idea to express that you give them your full attention. Some classy owners give their golden retrievers a day for themselves at the doggie day spa. Some even dress up their dogs with a fashion that makes a statement depending on the season. Stylish dog collars for your retrievers not only indicate your ownership to them but it also makes your dog simply fashionable. Chew toys in different shapes are traditional yet popular. Some bones that clean their teeth are entertaining to them and at the same time hygienic. One of the latest items in the market is doggie towels. Automatic pooper scoopers are other cute and functional gifts for your retriever. Having this gift maintains the cleanliness of your surroundings including your dog’s environment as well.
After all the money spent on your golden retrievers, they do not particularly care of what you give to them. They don’t recognize if you spend a lot of dime or a few cents on them. They even chew the gifts that you give them but it is only their way of showing their appreciation and the love, attention, care and pampering that you show them will make them forever grateful to you. With everything that you spent for your golden retriever, cost, time and energy included, are nothing compared to the love, joy and most especially loyalty that they give you in gratitude.
