Marketing on the internet offers the use of tools and technology that will help increase your work efficiency but the rest is up to you. Without an effective and fundamentally sound online marketing strategy your chances for business success are slim to none. Many marketers become overly reliant upon all the cool automation available and tend to overlook the basics.
Here are 3 realities that must be recognized and address for business success to be achieved online!
Software is Cool - However!
Remember that the available software you use is to help you improve your work efficiency and is NOT to be mistaken for your online marketing strategy! These are 'aids' to help you free up time to devote to the more important areas of what it is you are doing online. Your approach and what it is you are trying to accomplish is something that must be 'thought out' and 'planned for' by you!
Are You Connecting?
Remember your business is all about connecting with potential customers and technology is NOT going to do that for you! People do not give a darn about any cool software or automation you may have at your disposal, all they want to know is what is in it for them! If people do not know how or why what you may have to offer will help them, they are quite simply GONE!
In order for business success of any degree to be achieved, you will need to clearly convey your promotional message in a way others view as beneficial for themselves. If people see little or no benefit you will likely lose their attention and they will leave your page, gone forever!
Is There a Demand?
Although this is being discussed last here the first step you must take for business success is to determine the demand for what it is you intend to promote. No demand, no income and therefore no reason to be investing your efforts...end of discussion!
Marketing on the internet offers the use of many 'technological' tools that may increase your work efficiency but not necessarily your marketing effectiveness. It is common for many to become overly dependent on technology 'assuming' it will overcome the lack of a sound online marketing strategy. Assumptions like these decrease the chances for business success therefore entrepreneurs need to identify and acknowledge the 3 realities of internet marketing reviewed above. In doing so and applying fundamentally sound marketing strategies will only contribute to a much greater chance for business success online!
