I knew very little about Paracord (short for Parachute Cord and also known as 550 cord) at that time, only knowing that this type of cord was used extensively by the brave men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The 550 paracord is known for its versatility and considered a survival tool in an emergency and survival situation.
