When the skin is overexposed to the ultraviolet rays of the sun, sunburn is the cause. Other sources of ultraviolet rays, such as arcs of a merger, tanning lamps can cause sunburn. It can also cause skin cancer. Sunburn should never be taken lightly as it can even result in death.
As sunburn occurs, the living tissue of the skin and damaged skin gets tanned or darkened. Signs of sunburn occur within thirty minutes of strong sun exposure. People working in the yard, go for fishing or are the beaches have a greater opportunity to become sun burnt.
The skin may become red and tender
Usually the symptoms of sunburn take some time to appear. The skin can develop into red and tender. It is damp to the touch. After a few hours or days can produce blisters on the skin. All this can be followed by peeling skin after a few days. Some other signs of sunburn are fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, rash, flu and skin loss
Home remedies for sunburn or burned skin
Apply aloe vera or vinegar on the affected area because it will stop inflammation. Limit Products made from benzocaine, lidocaine and petroleum jelly. Rub mustard oil on the affected skin and allow to dry, it will take heat from the skin. Slash fresh cucumber slices and rub on the affected area. Before taking bath, add a little baking powder to the bath water, which will help to soothe burned skin.
Apply lavender oil on your skin burned. Apply apple cider vinegar to the burnt skin with cotton ball. Take an herbal bath, put a few drops of lavender oil, chamomile and necessary in the bath water. Grate some potatoes and apply on the skin. Starch potatoes will soothe the burning of the skin.
Take vitamin E and vitamin C
Antioxidants such as vitamin E and vitamin C are very favorable for the healing of sunburn. And include vitamin E and vitamin C in your diet. The tomato is a good antioxidant. Eat higher quality protein such as meat, egg, fish, chicken and so on and also eat lots of fruit. They provide vitamins and minerals. To keep the body hydrated and reward for lost fluids, drink plenty of fluids.
We all have experienced the symptoms of sunburn at some time or the other. Sunburn can cause much discomfort, but rarely is it fatal.
It is necessary for one to use sunscreen cream or lotions, umbrella or broad brimmed hats, sunglasses for eyes and wear light colored clothing in order to avoid sunburns.
