Europe is replete with a number of beautiful countries. Amongst all the countries present in this glorious continent, Italy has to be one of the most attractive of the lot. There is a lot that this region has to offer in terms of sightseeing, and you can be guaranteed a good time in the area.

The Marche region is one of the best regions to visit in central Italy. The first aspect of that will draw your attention is the fact that it is not frequented by many travelers. Since places like Rome and Venice get the bulk of the tourists, Marche is best place to go when you want to get away from it all. The beautiful landscapes are a treat for the eyes and you might probably never get enough of it!

In addition to the rolling landscapes, there are a number of picturesque town that you can give a try. The beautiful town of Urbino is something that you have to consider going to if you ever are in the Marche region. The town is pretty small, with just around fifteen thousand residents. But, it is rich in history and is home to some of the most beautiful renaissance churches. The massive University is also worth visiting, as it is a pretty old structure that continues to educate thousands of people, 20,000 to be precise. This town was of prime importance in terms of education even in the middle ages.

If Urbino is not to your liking, you can check out Ancona, which is another beautiful port city. There are many ruins that you can take a look at here. Most of the architecture was sadly destroyed during the Second World War, but there is still a lot to see. Any history buff will get excited with all that this town has to offer. Even if you are not architecture and history, you can indulge in the local cuisines and the wines. The cuisine is a unique variation of the typical Italian cuisine that you might be used to and is probably something that you will not forget any time soon.
