Which type of bag is best for your needs - biodegradable, compostable, or recyclable bags?

The answer to this question depends on a few factors, including what you'll be using the bags for and what type of disposal options are available to you.

If you'll be using the bags for food waste, biodegradable bags are a good option. These bags will break down in a landfill, which means they won't contribute to harmful methane gas emissions. However, biodegradable bags often cost more than other types of bags, so they may not be the best option if you're on a budget.

Compostable bags are another good option for dog waste. Unlike biodegradable bags, compostable bags can be placed in your home compost bin. This means they won't take up space in a landfill. Compostable bags often cost more than biodegradable bags, but they are better for the environment

What size bag do you need - small, medium, or large bags?

Most people who have dogs know the drill - before you head out for a walk, grab a bag (or two) and be prepared to pick up after your pup. But what happens when you're caught without a bag? Or, worse yet, you've brought the wrong size bag? No one wants to be that person who leaves a big steaming pile of dog poop on the sidewalk, so it's important to know how to choose the right size bag for the job.

For small dogs, a small bag should suffice. But if you've got a medium or large dog, you're going to need a bigger bag - preferably one that's big enough to tie off at the top. And if you've got more than one dog, you might even need a jumbo-sized bag. The last thing you want is to run out of room in your bag halfway through your walk!

So next time you're grabbing bags before heading out for a walk, make sure you've got the right size for the job. Your fellow pedestrians will thank you for it.

How many bags will you need per month/week/day?

How often do you scoop your dog's poop? Once a day? Twice a day? More? If you scoop twice a day, that's 14 times a month. And if you use one bag each time, that's 14 bags a month. But let's say you only scoop once a day. That's still 7 bags a week or 30-31 bags a month. Then there are those of us who have multiple dogs. I have three small dogs, so I'm constantly scooping! I probably go through at least one 40-count box of poo bags every other week. That's about 160 poo bags per month! Wow, when you think about it like that, it really adds up, doesn't it? So the next time you're at the store, pick up an extra box (or two) of poo bags and be prepared for whatever comes your way.
