If you’re like me and you are overly concerned with PC Protection and in general want to keep your home computers free from things such as viruses and the all to familiar batches of spyware and malware, then you’ll want to be certain that you’re running not only top of the line PC Security Software but you’ll also want to keep those programs and their definitions up to date. It’s a lot like giving your car a tune up. Preventative maintenance can keep problems to a minimum and catching problems early can save you money.

The problem however lies not in actually keeping things up to date and running regular scans but in choosing which program or programs to utilize. There are plenty of PC Security applications out there, some good and some not so good and the majority of the time even the best applications are lacking in one part or another. I can use my own experiences as an example here. I used to make use of several different and popular programs all of which boasted being the most comprehensive and effective. In order to remove 100% of infections from my computers I was forced to run scans with four separate programs because each one would miss several threats. In addition to this I had to run scans at minimum once a day as none of the intrusion prevention tools these programs included kept anything out of my computer. In fact I would regularly see the same threats repeatedly which is quite discouraging considering I had paid for all four programs.

Care should be taken not only to ensure you don’t throw your money away but that you’re getting the best PC Protection available. One should take his/her time and not only research any application of interest but spend some time reading reviews as well. Though its much easier to just buy something, especially when you’re desperate or are need deep in a virus issue, you should remember that rushing usually leads to bad decisions. Again, take your time and see what others have to say about the application you’re interested in.

There are a myriad of companies in existence today that offer excellent and comprehensive Computer Security software. I spent two weeks time researching these companies and their products and I found that the most comprehensive antivirus tools are offered by a company called eEeye. eEeye offers several different programs for those concerned with anti-virus and antispyware issues. Having sampled 3 of them already I can say with confidence that their Blink Personal Edition is leaps and bounds above its competition and performed far better than any of the most popular or well known programs being used today.

Blink is actually offered as a Free Antivirus Software download from the eEye website and I’d recommend that anyone looking for a very good alternative to some of the more expensive and more or less unreliable solutions, to spend a few moments downloading and using Blink. With Blink I’ve not had to use any of the other applications I normally use for eliminating threats. In addition to that the level of intrusion prevention that Blink carries is far better than any other programs I have used. After only a few weeks I’ve not seen any of the same threats on my computers as I did prior to my download of Blink and I’ve actually uninstalled all of my old PC Security Software.

Having a good set of "anti" tools at your disposal can mean the difference between a computer that functions as it should and one that does little more than boot up. There was a point in time where I cared little for Computer Security and worried even less about the threats out in cyberworld. After watching a close friend struggle with a case of identity theft I decided that it was time to take the subject seriously and begin protecting my data and files. If you’re not already using at least one application for Computer Security then consider the consequences as well as the benefits. If you are already utilizing one of the many tools available make sure that tool provides you with thorough scans as well as solid preventative tools. If you’re ready for something new surf over to the eEye website and see what they have to offer. Chances are you’ll be pleased.
