Lace wigs are particularly great for cancer survivors or patients! These wigs are light weight and allow your scalp to breathe! The wigs can be worn
anywhere from a couple of days, to weeks and even months, depending on the
type of adhesive or tape used. Check out the additional information below.
Have you ever wondered how some of the celebrities seem to have flawless hair all of time? Now of course they have lots of money at their disposal to
invest in anything from perms, colors, extension and even transplants.
However, as seen on Oprah a few years ago, the secret is now out…..lace wigs!
Lace front wigs have been around for a while….but not quite recognizable by
the average consumer. They have been used extensively in the theater- live
theater, plays and movies. Of course, they are undetectable on camera,
because of the miracle worker make-up artists. However, very recently these
wigs have become more sophisticated and affordable to the general public. I
must say that I am definitely a fan of low maintenance hair care!
Let's face it ladies, most of us are working women, which certainly includes
being a mom and/or a wife or even a single ambitious ladder climber. Who has time to emerge from the bathroom with flawless hair? Even if we have time to go to the hairdresser, this can be very expensive!
Lace or lace front wigs are different from your regular everyday wig. They
are constructed of 100% human hair on a lace cap. Now, there are various
types of caps or cap bases. French lace and Swiss lace are the most common
ones. French lace is a little more durable than Swiss lace. However, Swiss
lace is by far more undetectable. Another great thing about lace wigs is that
you can treat them just like your own hair! I mean you can dye them, add
highlights, curl, straighten, cut, and style the unit. Now of course if you
cut it, it had better be a good cut, because it will not grow back!
The other great thing about lace units is that some of them can be worn in
ponytails and updos! If you like to wear your hair up, you must invest in a
great lace wig with a full lace cap and getting one with baby hair around the
perimeter is not a bad idea either. The baby hair really makes the hairline
look natural and it is quite difficult for even the most discerning eye to
tell that one is wearing a lace unit. Lace wigs can be attached using either
two-sided tape or a good adhesive. It is also important to use a lace
remover solvent to remove the unit when you get ready. Otherwise, you can
wash the unit while it is still attached to your head. Some women even go
swimming in their units!
There are tons of lace unit virtual stores at your service.
