How I Reversed My Type Two Diabetes
I made a shocking discovery a year ago that has changed, and possibly saved my life. I was diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes over fifteen years ago. Everything that the doctors have advised have been done, yet my diabetes continued to progress. It started out with one single pill, and gradually progressed to six pills, several twice daily, and supplemented with insulin injections. Effectively, I had run the gambit of pharmaceutical fixes
.
Dr. Atkins, of the renowned Atkins Diet, speaks frequently about how he commonly reversed many chronic diseases, including diabetes, at his clinics. His statements convinced me that I was missing a vital part of the overall puzzle. Dr. Atkins was reversing numerous diseases that I understood to be incurable – irreversible, including diabetes. Unfortunately, he didn’t say much about how he did it.
He stated in his books, that Western Medicine teaches doctors to treat everything with pharmaceuticals. Don’t ask them to step outside that box, because they don’t know what to do outside of pharmaceuticals. Our doctors have very little training in nutrition. That struck home. After four visits each year for over fifteen years, my doctor, whom is very highly regarded in his field, has never asked any questions about my diet. I felt sorry for him when I asked pressing questions about deficiencies, and he did not know how to respond. It is also crystal clear that he was uncomfortable in hearing about any benefits gained using supplements.
That led to an in-depth research project - thanks to the miracle the Internet. First, research the disease. What are the causes of diabetes, and what makes it do what it does. Diabetes is an inflammatory disease, meaning that a diabetic’s immune system is running overtime, against itself, because of a substance called arachidonic acid (AA). Arachadonis acid is a substance that is present naturally in the body, and in many foods. That led to a long trail of reading books and studies, all of which kept coming back to one central topic – diet and nutrition. Diabetics are chronically deficient in five vitamins and minerals, some of which, are instrumental in proper cell function regarding glucose and insulin. None of my medications are dealing with vitamin or mineral deficiencies.
Then I started researching the medications that I was taking. None of them address the central cause of diabetes. They all address the symptoms of diabetes. The real surprise came in the realization that the side effects of those medications would only serve to add to the problem long term.
Long story short, after reading nonstop for a year and applying basic principles, the irreversible was reversed. Simply give the body what it really needs (sound nutritional balance) and it will take care of itself. I learned how to address the nutritional deficiencies that lead to numerous problems, including inflammation, high cholesterol, heart disease, kidney disorders, circulatory disorders, eye disorders, high blood pressure, and constipation. Anyone with diabetes, Type I, II, or III can do the same. In less than six months, their blood tests can drastically improve - glucose levels, cholesterol, and blood pressure will normalize. Circulation will improve in the extremities. It is easy once you know how to test your body’s sensitivities to AA’s, and learn how to adjust for it and control it. Restore vitamin and mineral deficiencies that are stopping the body’s normal function. Understand cholesterol, beneficial bacteria, vitamin and mineral function, phytochemicals and phytonutrients, essential fatty acids and starches. All topics of vital importance to a diabetic.
