How do Subliminal Messages work-- it actually relaxes and eases one’s conscious mind and opens the subconscious part of one’s brain to the point that suggestions and ideas could be accepted. Once the suggestion is already accepted and agreed upon by the individual that hears the those hidden suggestions, typically referred to as subliminal affirmations, then it becomes a fixed, strong central figure in that individual’s belief system. Even though subliminal messages are somewhat new, hypnosis seems to have been around for quite some time. It is believed by many that it dates back even further in time. Some believed that hypnosis has been around since the time of the Egyptian pyramids.

Others believe that it was the practice of hypnosis which made the Egyptians so advanced and ahead of their time. There truly is no way to know when hypnosis was initially used. Hypnosis led some researchers in studying Subliminals more and today they are being utilized in some ads and commercials to presidential campaigns! And let us not forget the "Rats Commercial" some years ago... So what could Subliminal Messages be used for? Maybe the real question is what they cannot be used for. Essentially, it could be used for anything and everything an individual could imagine or think of.

People have seen subliminal messages utilized for a lot of issues. Quitting certain bad habits and losing weight is most popularly known. There are even hypnotherapists doing some great things with the early stages of cancer these days, too. Then there is stress, insomnia, confidence, self esteem and sports improvement just to name a few. Now the question is, does this practice conflict or contradict with religion? No, not at all. It taps into someone’s natural state which everyone possesses in themselves. If anything, this could be utilized in order to become a better person to other people. How about you—do you think subliminal messages are just a craze or are here to stay? And if you have noticed just now, the word "subliminal" is popping all over the place.

For the first time ever, more and more people are being informed and educated about this subject and the fears of subliminal messages are being dispersed. A friend of mine really believed personally that it is here to stay and one day there will come a time it will just be a normal practice such as brushing your teeth or any common daily practices or household chores. It is unavoidable with its effective results and natural simplicity. How else can you get the swift progress you get with subliminal programming? If you were to remove or put an end to all those negative energies inside you right about now, wouldn’t you feel more at peace and at ease with the world? Hypnosis is not a form of subliminal stimulus. There are many studies that show those who do not have the personality type to easily trust and believe others will not have much, if any, reactions to the suggestions of hypnosis. Also, there are several contradictions in this article, including "Once the suggestion is already accepted and agreed upon by the individual that hears the those hidden suggestions, typically referred to as subliminal affirmations, then it becomes a fixed, strong central figure in that individual’s belief system." This is NOT true. The stimulus of subliminal priming is not strong enough to create a STRONG belief in someone...Ugh. Nicely written article..but needs much, much more depth..
