Prevent Disease - Tips To Live Way Past Your Use-By Date
The sad fact of life is that many people all around the world do not live a life full of health and happiness and usually expire before their time. It is becoming less likely for someone to die of old age or natural causes. Instead people, especially in America, end up passing away from any one of these killer diseases: heard disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, obesity or cancer. Sometimes even a combination of these diseases. But fear not as there are steps people can take to live a life full of abundant health. This article will give you, tips on how to live way pass your use-by date.
Tip 1 – Eat A Rainbow Every Day
The American diet is very conductive in producing a toxic environment in which disease and illness thrive and can easily invade and cripple our system. A great thing to do is to eat a rainbow spectrum of colorful food every day. Do not just settle for your greens! Include orange (carrots), yellow (bananas), purple (beets), red (peppers) and so on. Eat more vegetables and fruit each day. These types of foods have many different types of vitamins, phytonutrients, enzymes and many more powerful disease prevention elements that make them the perfect foods to eat for health.
Tip 3 – Move That Body
Exercise has to be something of a top priority in this day and age not a choice. Many people hate exercising but it is a great way to prevent disease. Exercise can strengthen the whole body and various systems within especially the cardiovascular system. Exercise also increases serotonin levels in the brain, releasing endorphins that make us happy.
Tip 3 – Find Your Zen
Take time each day to relax and enter a stress free zone that you create. Many diseases are caused or can be prevented by lowering your stress levels. Choose to take a time out from your day and lie down and rest, breathe deeply or meditate. Yoga is another great way to relax.
Tip 4 – Live A Juicy Life
One best investment that you can get for your health and to prevent disease is a juicer. When you juice a fruit or a vegetable you increase the number of vitamins that are available. It's hard to eat five carrots but easy to juice five carrots and then drink them. Your body can rapidly absorb juices and assimilate them quickly to maximize health.
Tip 5 – Alkalize, Alkalize, Alkalize!
Some researchers believe that to prevent disease we have to maintain an alkaline body state rather than one that is acidic. Dr. Robert Young, in particular recommends that we have a balance of 80% alkaline foods and 20% acidic foods to prevent disease and maximize the health of our body. The best way to alkalize the body is to have raw vegetables with every meal. This could be a big green salad (minus the dressing) or a lightly steamed plate of vegetables.
