It's obvious to say that most teenagers don't have strong self esteem. When teenagers encounter circumstances such as making an embarrassing mistake, experiencing heart break and feeling of discrimination are all essential elements of being teenagers. And on the contrary, teenagers with low self confidence take their mistake seriously and then it starts to reduce their confidence.
Teens who are lacking a strong sense of personal quality of a thing which it is thought of as a being from their parents are thinking about themselves as useless most especially in front of their friends. Teenager's self esteem is a kind of character developments that parents can give to their children.
Self esteem for teenagers establish inside the house together with the family members. Everything should be started where a child grows up until their teenage years. For example, if a child is living in a business oriented family then the teenager will be on the most possibilities to know the importance of money.
It's also the same from a child who grows in a family with an emotional disturbance resulting from a clash of opposing impulses , inflict some physical, sexual, or psychological harm upon them or lack of sufficient or proper care. If these children encounter this kind of situation, they will face a lot of challenges to continue to live in spite of all the problem that they are going to encounter.
Moreover, teenager's self esteem would be lower if they are experiencing the comparison between the children who are growing in a loving and raising by educating, training and fostering family. We all know that neglected children are always suffer from low self confidence, self worth and self esteem. In addition, when the child grows as a teenager, they can recognize easily if someone are putting them down.
It's more painful for them when one of the family members are going to do that. So it is essential for parents to be aware that children who are becoming teenagers are suffering from the attack of hormonal activity in their bodies as well as their characters. In this period teens are really sensitive and any cruel words could make their confidence low.
First and foremost, parents shouldn't run out of words of encouragement to their children. When they did some tasks which is very achieving, never ever forget to praise them. Rewards from other people can be an extra points to embolden teenager's self esteem, but you as their parents can uphold their confidence and it sounds like a music to teenager's ears.
By doing that you can secure a good ambiance as well as safety to your children. Under any circumstances, teenagers feel the security that their family provides them. It can make them feel assured and they feel that they are worth living in this world. Knowing your children's personal connection or involvement which might be thought to compromise them in doing something and knowing the person whom they know well and are fond of them is one way that can make you aware of any matter that may take place.
Parents should always take every chance to remind them that they have lots of value to you and other people that surrounds them. You should make it a point of providing them some opportunities to be with somebody who can make them build their self esteem.
