Let's put it this way, a MBA interview is just like a job interview. The only difference is that you are applying to be a student instead of an employee. You are applying to be accepted into a school instead of a company. You would not have even applied for it, or been allowed an interview, if you weren't already qualified for the position. All they want to know in the interview is if you will be a good candidate for their school.

The questions they ask you will be about you personally. Questions like:

• What did you score on your GPA?

• What are your hobbies?

• Did you participate in any extracurricular activities?

• What work experience do you have?

• What did you enjoy most about your last job?

• Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten years?

• Why are you pursuing an MBA?

• What are your strengths? Weaknesses?

These are the same basic questions asked on any job interview so ask yourself what you would do if you were preparing for a job.

Make sure your résumé is up to date. Whether you need to present it or not, it is always a good idea to have one available to give out if asked.. When asked during the MBA interview about your past work experience you'll have all the necessary information fresh in your mind.

Make sure you also research the school. When you interview for an important job you research the company first to find out what their goals are, what their mission statement is, and how you would best fit in with their business. You need to research each business school you're applying to so you'll know exactly what they are looking for and you can tailor your answers accordingly.

Dress and act professionally, You are not in college anymore. You are applying for a student position at a professional, business-oriented college. When you want a "job" you should dress like you already have it.

Be confident, you have already completed all of the requirements to be accepted at a business college. Now what they really want to see at your MBA interview is that you are a mature, confident adult and ready to concentrate on your career.
