It does not matter whether you are a new mafia member and you want to learn how to play Mafia Wars or you have been playing for months, it is important that you take advantage of the new crime spree feature that recently has been added to the mafia game. In fact, this feature just became available May 21st, 2010.

If you were playing this game around the holidays, you may remember the Gift Safe House, and this new Crime Spree feature is very similar to the safe house. While you were given Mafia Wars Respect in the Gift Safe House, with the Crime Spree you are earning loyalty with your mafia when they help you out on crime sprees. The great news is that if you learn how to use this new feature effectively, you can end up with some great new items within the game, and you can benefit by helping others with their crime sprees as well.

First, you may be wondering how to start your crime spree within the Mafia Wars game. To get to this area, you can go to the Profile Tab on the main page, and then click on the tab that says Crime Spree on it. Once you get there, you will see a small button that says "Ask your Mafia for Help!" This is the button you want to click on, and it allows you to send requests to all your Mafia members within the game for some help. Send out these requests, and then the rest is up to your mafia.

When you play the Mafia Wars game, you will also have the chance to help out others with their Crime Spree. You may begin noticing that you get requests from members of your mafia to help them out. Simply accept the request, and you will be taken to a special window where you can choose to help out the member or you can choose to sabotage them. For helping them you can choose whether you want experience, energy, or stamina for helping out. This is a nice way to get a bit of a boost, helping you to do more jobs, level up faster, or gain more stamina. Just remember, you will only be allowed to get five of these rewards within 24 hours. You can still help out your mafia members within the mafia game, but you would not get the bonus after you have five.

Of course, you are probably interested to find out what you get when people help you out with the Crime Spree within Mafia Wars. Well, when people choose to help you, you will notice in the Crime Spree area that you have safes that you can open. When you open the safe, you will be given either a weapon or a piece of armor. You may find several different weapons in the safes as you open them. The weapons you may receive include the Tora Assault Rifle, Hockey Stick, .45 ACP Pistol, EMP Bomb, Fire Axe, Gladius, or the Baby Face Nelson's .351. The best of these items is the EMP Bomb, which gives you 32 defenses. Three armor items may be in your safes as well, including the Sumotori Fighter, a Pair of Steeltips, and the Ushanka.

There are different levels that you can achieve. As people help you out and you open up more safes, you are able to increase your loyalty. There are different levels available, and each time you level up, you are going to get a specific bonus gift. However, it is important to note that once your loyalty level gets above 15, you would not get a bonus item anymore. Within Mafia Wars, there are several different bonus items you may get when you level up, and the item you receive is random. Several of the bonus items that you may be awarded for leveling up may include Ness' Fedora, Remote Controlled Sniper, Fugama Kondoru, Lorica, Pro's 2 Iron, Pretty Boy Floyd's .45, and the Vortex Ring Gun.

It is definitely a great idea to begin using the new Crime Spree feature within the Mafia games. You can gain some great items and helping others will help you to gain energy, experience, or stamina.
