Spiritual Revolution - Meditation, Technology and Business

Producer Alan Swyer interviews Steven S. Sadleir, director of the Self Awareness Institute on how spiritual tools are being given real world and business application. This spiritual documentary also includes Baba Muktananda, Amma, Jack Kornfield, Daniel Siegel, M.D., and Debbie Ford.

Allan Swyer: There are a lot of people we've spoken to who are really distress about technology. Yet you're saying that technology would some perceive as being pernicious can be use on a positive way as transmission of Shakti energy.

Steven S. Sadleir: Right. Well, technology as just a medium. It's medium of conducting an intention so as money.

Allan Swyer: Yeah.

Steven S. Sadleir: So like money technology, any instrument, any human being for that matter can be an instrument for bringing something that raises consciousness and brings about a greater good or it can become device or they can become limited, they can became corrupted.

Allan Swyer: Right.

Steven S. Sadleir: And so this is how we learn and grown and evolve, so in a sense, it's all perfect. But as long as we're having this discussion, what we're thinking about is making us more conscious. The conscious, the more conscious we are, the happier we are. And so this is of course the vision where the convergence right now. There is that awakened occurring within the collective conscious of humanity. In fact, you're doing this, what to believe. All the information is being disseminated out in the millions of people. But they're getting to the point where they're ready to move beyond the understanding of the information. They want to live in that exulted state of bliss and that's what makes the Shaktipat so powerful.

It's not a matter of me doing it, it's not a matter of you do it, the same thing it causes my heart to beat, makes your heart to beat and the listener's heart to beat. We are all drawing all our life from the same source, in the same volition that is moving me to share these words with you is causing you to hear them and reflect on what their meaning. We are all being guided by the same spirit as it were.

And so what's happening is-you also having this discussion is people are connecting with that Inner Knowing. It's spinning to awaken that Inner Knowing. And what I try to do to help people's immigrate this into their life, so they live it. They're not just understanding it and then going into there head and not living it, you see what I mean? The differences integrating it to the body and mind vehicle.

Allan Swyer: Yeah I'm glad that you mentioned that because one of the things that-one of the topics that we've encountered that we've dealt with there are-obviously meditation is wonderful. But there are those-a lot of the people we've spoken to, point out the fact that some times meditation, the meditative experience is not carried over into everyday life so that somebody will meditate and think, "Okay, I just came at office," if you will.

Steven S. Sadleir: Right.

Allan Swyer: And then going out and cut three guys off on the way to work. You should feel that's what all he needs to do instead of being conscious.

Steven S. Sadleir: Right.

Allan Swyer: Instead of carrying that.

Steven S. Sadleir: It's about integrating this awareness into your life. Well, that's actually why so much of this work is doing exactly that. And by the way, we go in to corporations for this. When people see the benefits, when they see they're being conscious means you're not only going to find greater clarity, happiness and peace, which sounds warm and fussy and we all-we know we need it, but the mind can find all these rationales for doing other things. It don't necessarily lead us to that direction.

But if your mind can understand how much more powerful you can focus, how can you deal with more difficult situations and difficult people better, how you can over came limiting beliefs and fears that all of the sudden now you've got there attention? We sell this to Fortune 500 companies, people sign off for it. Almost everybody it does our courses, a business, man or woman. It's amazing because that where it's needed.

Here's another area where there is a proceed divisiveness. There was business, some material world and then there were spiritual world. Lack serves no one. We're looking at the worst of business and say, "This is an evil part of life and spirits over here and we put on a pedestal but it is so high up and no one reaches it.

And so where the rubber meets the road and where we create a king on heaven and earth is when we live in this place of high awareness and integrated it into what we think and say and do and bring it into our business and bring it into our relationships at home and heal ourselves, our family and others. And so doing, we begin to spread that awareness through to everyone we see, everywhere we go all the time everyday. And that's where the shift occurs, one individual at a time, just everyday, just a little more consciousness being express.
