I read a post today that said, "It’s time for the reigning champion of the online world to step to one side – the growing market involving online dating has purportedly surpassed porn?" Hmmm, that is certainly fascinating. Online dating is a larger market than porn. Who would have thought? Wait… Are you %#@&$ kidding me?

Online dating is a wonderful industry that has made it easier for scores of singles find love and happiness, but should it be a larger industry than porn? I really like porn. You like porn. Who does not like porn? All of us do not love online dating. How could it be one of the most profitable market on the internet when there are many things drastically wrong with online dating?

Think of it this way: You are picking your fantasy life team and you have to choose industries to direct your assault. Would online dating be your first pick? No way, and here's the reasons:

Things I don't really like about internet dating:

  1. Everybody lies! You upload an image from ten years ago and state it is you. I pick you up for a drink and you look nothing like your photo. I want to punch you in the face.

  2. I subscribe to web sites which assure me that they are totally free. I get giddy and excited. I try to look for a "good looking partner." I come across one. I commit thirty minutes writing an e-mail, I click send. Then I get a pop-up that states, "I’m sorry, you are unable to communicate with this participant until you pay $50 a month." I would like to punch that pop up in the face.

  3. I bite the bullet and decide to consume ramen noodles for some time, and fork out $50 a month. I look for the same "hot mate" I found before I paid out to connect, but, I are not able to locate them again. Where did they go? They have disappeared! They’re certainly not #!&@ authentic. It was a hook to get you to join. I was deceived. I am not pleased. I want to punch the fake profile in the face.

  4. Boring. Online dating is uninteresting. They all have exactly the same stuff and ask you similar questions. Seriously people, I really don’t care if you may be a veterinarian or an astronaut. I’m more concerned if your conflict management skills entail hurling significant objects at me or if you’re calm, collected and reasonable. Why don’t dating websites ask you genuine life questions? I want to punch these pointless questions in the face.

  5. I am greeted by gorgeous homepages with radiant colors, simple navigation and a promise of love and available matches. I devote 30 minutes completing a account. I obtain access to the guts of the web site and I become baffled. The site has changed. It looks just like diarrhea, navigation sucks, colors are removed, and the web-site looks like it was designed by a ten year old. I want to punch that home page in the face.

  6. I seek out for a lesser acknowledged independent site in hope that it will be a much better product vs. the deceitful junk the more popular sites have given me. I find one. I am excited. I spend 30 minutes creating a user profile and hit send. My internet browser redirects me to a different web-site that I have been to previously. I am confused. I discover the independent site was a fake. I was fooled into rejoining a site I already dislike! I want to punch the fake web-site in the face.

I can go on forever, but I will stop with this rant. In the event that you need to hear more explanations online dating must not possibly be the #1 on-line industry in its current form, email me and I will inform you why. It’s a scary planet.

Datecover.com, and while unique, it is on its way to being some thing unique. Why? Because they are taking anything I detest concerning online dating, and creating solutions!! It is about #$^@# time someone addressed these issues don’t you think?! I don’t despise www.datecover.com. I appreciate what they’re attempting to do, and I do not want to punch them in the face…yet.
