As somebody who was born and raised in San Diego, I can tell you, when visiting Southern California, a stop by Sea World in San Diego is a must. Especially if you are traveling together with your children or a friend, you will find there may be only a few places as enjoyable as a trip to the Sea World San Diego theme park.

Animal Attractions:

You can see tons of interactive sights that permit you to interact with the numerous sea animals...dolphins, rays, whales and different fish and animals. As an illustration, one among my favorites is the Forbidden Reef area. Here you can touch. feed and pet Bat Rays. For someone who has by no means been up near such marvelous creatures, it is a really unique experience. Also you may go under the aquarium and watch moray eels in their mysterious underwater caverns.

Go by the dolphin interaction program, where you'll be able to learn all about the dolphins and have a bit of fun with these loving and intelligent mammals.

No trip to Sea World in San Diego is complete without seeing Shamu the killer whale! Watch as he and his trainers perform spectacular feats and tricks to amaze you, your beloved, and children. You'll by no means see such wonder and delight in your family members eyes as they watch the show. Who knew that these wild animals could possibly be so clever! Remember although, if you happen to sit very close, expect to get slightly moist!

In the event you love aquariums, you'll not discover a higher one than the world of the sea aquarium. The aquarium complex is extensive and immerse...almost as if you ever had been scuba diving amongst all the fish, anemones, star fish and other sea creatures.

Rides and enjoyment:

The Journey to Atlantis water experience is like a cross between a roller coaster and a ship. Watch out for the 60 foot plummet on the falls, however you will have a lot of fun braving all of the twists and turns.

In the center of Sea World San Diego is the Skytower. The spectacle of San Diego, Mission Bay and the surrounding areas is very pretty as you journey almost 300 feet into the air. You may get a real sense of the true beauty of San Diego!

Don't forget Shipwreck Rapids either. This ride incorporates a journey via river rapids, underground caverns and by dropping cargo nets around a tropical island as you travel along in your circular inner tube raft that seats eight.

Places to have a meal!

If you are hungry for a snack. The candy Treats at Pineapple Pete's Island Eats is for you. They have smoothies, iced cappuccinos, and numerous ice creams, its one delicious stop in Sea World San Diego.

Catch a quick eat amongst all of the artifacts on the Shipwreck Reef Cafe or the Coconut Bay Cafe. Or should you like, the Seaport Market has a deli with delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner fare.

For some really nice dining, try the Calypso Bay Smokehouse. Dad won't be able to resist the smoked ribs, chicken, barbecue and more.

I've simply touched upon a few of the sights, rides and eating at Sea World San Diego. You will find even more to do and see, including beluga whales, sharks, and even more shows, so be sure to plan on making a full day of your trip.

Admissions will set you back round 60 to 70 dollars per individual person, and extra for parking, not to mention the other costs associated with travel, nevertheless there are special deals to be found.
