Bushnell night vision binoculars are an invaluable tool for the camper who gets lost in the woods at night. Such vision is made possible by an infrared illuminator. They can help people navigate even in the darkest light. Bushnell night vision binoculars are useful, not only for getting around at night, but also for observing wild animals from a concealed place where the light is poor, creatures that would otherwise be difficult to observe because they would run away. And apart from the outdoors, these binoculars are useful for surveillance operations where one needs to be able to see without also being seen. Some people even use them to watch concerts!

The wearer of Bushnell binoculars can not only see, but even hear what he is observing, thanks to three built- in devices: a headphone, a boom microphone, and a recording port. They are weatherproof and provide excellent contrast.

Two other Bushnell products are also useful for seeing in poor light— the Bushnell night vision monocular and the Bushnell night vision goggles.

The Bushnell night vision monocular provides illumination similar to that of the binoculars, but in a more compact form; and it can be used for all the same purposes, which also include night boating and fishing, cave exploration, and search & rescue. The monocular is waterproof and can be mounted on a tripod. Its maximum viewing range is 600 feet, its field of view is 79 feet at 1,000 yards, and it operates on two AA batteries. It comes in at least three forms— 2.5 x 42, 2.5 x 42 Built-in Double Infrared (Green), and Night Watch 2 x 24 w/ built in infrared. One buyer, who lives on a horse ranch, claims that the monocular that he bought enables him to watch for coyotes and stray dogs. Another reports: "I can even take respectable digital photos through the lens with surprising results. It takes some patience to do but it works well and produces fairly good images." Still, another finds it useful for detecting "abnormal movement."

Bushnell night vision goggles are even more convenient than the binoculars or the monocular. As goggles, they come with headgear, so they can be fastened to the head of the user, who does not have to keep holding them up to his eyes; this frees the hands to do other things. They can also be detached from the headgear and used independently. And they are not simply water resistant; they are waterproof, making them especially valuable if one finds oneself forced to go underwater at night. "It's wild seeing deer walking around and eating the plums off the trees," says one buyer.

With any of these three Bushnell night vision products, the buyer should have the vision of an owl!
