Basic Differences Between Vedic Astrology and Western Astrology:

Astrology is the rescuer of suffering civilization. It is an art on top of a science, which can get rid of sorrows and fill our lives with lots of pleasure. There are two different types of Astrology, Vedic/Indian Astrology and Western Astrology. They don’t vary just in their places of origin but also vary in some other areas. But, Their {Vedic / Hindu Astrology (Jyotish Shastra) or Western Astrology} chief purpose is the same, to get rid of problems and make the most of happiness.

Essentially, Astrology is an unrivaled asset to assess the potential possibilities of our daily lives.Western Astrology is comparatively new as compared to Vedic Astrology.

Origination of two Astrology

Vedic Astrology is the classic format of Astrology; it was developed by the ancient fortune-tellers and gurus (Rishis) of the Indian Subcontinent, thousands of years ago. So, Vedic Astrology is religious, antique and believed to be the word of God passed on to the wise people in the past.

On the other hand, Western Astrology can be traced back to the life and academic growth in ancient Greece.// Western Astrology is also prejudiced by the Egyptian Civilizations. So, Western Astrology is a conclusion of the evolved intellectuality and exploration of the European tend.

Astrological Calculations

The Vedic Astrology method is about a fixed zodiac, with a clear Nakshatra (Planet) in the background. It is also called "Sidereal Zodiac". The Sidereal year is the time taken by earth to rotate around Sun with follow to the fixed star Chitra and this period is in fact 20 minutes longer than the tropical year.

But Western Astrology is works on a changeable zodiac. This system is based on the direction of Earth to Sun. It is also known as "Tropical Zodiac".

There are total NINE Planets- Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Rahu-Ketu In the Vedic Astrology. Also, while using the 12 signs, Vedic Astrology makes use of 27 lunar collections, named Nakshatras. Each one covering a distance of 13 degrees and 20 minutes.

Western Astrology contains planets like Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto to predict future, which is not measured by Vedic Astrology. Also, Western Astrology does not consider Nakshatras or constellations.

Time Method

Vedic Astrology uses Vimshotarri Dasha system (a technique to time the planetary system) while studying the planetary transits for upcoming events.

But, Western Astrology does not use Dasha System. It studies the planetary transits based on their activities.

Solar and Lunar System

Western Astrology appears to rely more upon the movement and position of Sun. So, the importance is more on psychology, character of an entity.

But in the Vedic method is a Moon-based astrology system which protects all the areas of life.

Why is the Vedic Astrology more Higher

Vedic astrology is more advanced, therefore it can be very helpful and truthful yet a bit more difficult. Nakshatras, Dasha System and Divisional plans in Vedic Astrology offer a much deeper approaching.

Also, Vedic Astrology is stand on Moon sign over Sun sign. Sun modification its sign in around a month while Moon changes its sign in 2.25 days, which is why forecasts based on Moon are more close and exact since our moods and conditions, vary frequently.

Secondly, the moon echoes the mind and emotions, our nature, therefore interpreting moon’s placement leads to more applicable predictions and examination. Vedic Astrology hence is prepared with more accurate and specify -oriented tools and methods of predictions than western astrology, thus more reliable.

Whereas the planetary activities shift, the Earth expands and nothing is motionless. Vedic Astrology is believed to be more logical and dependable. The symbols and planets normally have akin explanation and figurative meanings in both the methods but Vedic Astrology has more correct calculations and detailed methods involved, so more reliable. The Western/Tropical plan can provide only a simple explanation. Though, Western Astrology is worth exploring too.
