For decades, every single self help publication, program, or seminar, has been rooted in the concept of goal setting. There is probably no single subject, which has been talked or written about in more ways, than goal setting. It has been promoted on a personal as well as business basis, in virtually every part of our lives.

The basic premise being, if you write down all the goals in your life, listing them in all areas of your life, and if you work on these goals, you should by all accounts become a perfect human, living a perfect life, and achieve all you ever wanted.

It sounds ideal, and sure would be great if it worked, but after decades of use and application, in virtually all type of formats, the general conclusion seems to indicate, goal setting does not get the intended results.

It is not working because the basic premise uses a mechanistic, logical, mostly ritualistic approach, which is totally abstract to the universal forces of nature that initiate greater achievement. This mechanistic logical approach prevents you from actually communicating with your intuitive side, which is the primary force behind you achieving what you want.

Those who have written down goals, and did manage to achieve some of them, did so by some coincidence. They managed unbeknown to them, to initiate through some other means, the right forces needed for success.

Goal setting, or writing down the things you want, or the changes you want to make in all areas of your life, should not be confused with the act of writing down daily or weekly tasks for a project or set of activities. It is encouraged that you write down the logical sequence of tasks you need to get done, and check them off as they are completed, but do not confuse these with personal goal setting. Writing down tasks for a project or job, is a conscious effort, which should be followed up by a logical conscious step by step process of getting the task done.

You and everything within the universe is basically pure energy. You are a living, constantly changing form of energy. At some level, your energy is connected with all other energy. All energy, including you, originates from some form of Intelligent Thought. Everything within the universe, including everything associated with you and your actions, is initiated from a thought. Thought has the capacity to initiate and also to influence energy. This has been established through scientific support, by Quantum Physics.

You are not a machine, and hence you do not function in an abstract logical sequence. You are not made up of independent parts like a machine, all of your whole form, is known and present within every one of your cells.

Your conscious mind can come up with a thought, but it is your sub-conscious mind that is always in the present moment and controls not only all your human motor functions, but is responsible for getting what your thought wants. The subconscious has the power and the ability to automatically navigate you, without you even being aware, to exactly what you want.

You can only communicate with your subconscious through your senses, everything else is abstract to the subconscious. The predominant force to which the subconscious responds to, is your feelings.

For you to have a feeling about something, you must interact with it and experience it, letting you reflect upon how the experience makes you feel. The more passionate and the more frequent these experiences are, the more your feelings will influence your subconscious, and the more it will navigate you to what you want. Since the subconscious is always in the present moment, you must be in a state of gratitude and in the present moment, in order to communicate with the subconscious.

For you to write down a bunch of goals, as so many publications keep encouraging you to do, and for you to have the time and the ability to focus on each of these goals, interact and experience how they feel, and to do so with passion on a frequent basis every day, it's virtually impossible.

That's why goal setting has not and will not work. Experience has shown, that in a short period of time, the goal setting process becomes frustrating, which creates the negative feelings, and your subconscious will naturally try to protect you by navigating away from what you want.

To get what you want, stop goal setting, and shift to a singleness of purpose. Find the one single thing you want the most. Make sure it is something you want, and not something you want to get rid off. So many times people focus on what they do not want, and think that they are actually thinking about what they want.

Find out as much as you can about what you want, and use a multi-dimensional process like a hologram, to interact with and experience what you want. Reflect and capture how this experience makes you feel, and the joy as well as pleasure it brings to you.

Be sure that you are not doing any of this in a state of panic, but from a state of natural gratefulness. Repeat this experience as often as possible, and get passionate about your feelings.

Take massive action at whatever you do for a living, give it all you can, but keep repeating these experiences. Unbeknown to you, you will find, that through this singleness of purpose, and strong experiences, you will be influencing your subconscious, which in turn will take the thought of what you want, and navigate you to actually achieving it, making it part of your reality.
