These are good tips, but i thought i would share a great book I just finished called Your Spacious Self by an award winning author Stephanie Bennett Vogt. I think she is so amazing she'll be next to go on Oprah! It has worked for me because I get in what I call procrastinators mode, and don't want to do it! I'm sure we all do this... so I believe I am 'normal'. Of all the clutter clearing , personal organizing, and 'feng shui' books that I have read (and there have been a LOT), "Your Spacious Self" distills and combines the best of all these modalities into one yummy, user-friendly guide…It is the only book you'll need to bring your home and life back into balance!

It's a new year and I'm trying for new space -- clutter free, naturally! To that end, I'm relying on other people's wisdom, such as these tips, plus, a really great book: Your Spacious Self by Stephanie Bennett Vogt. It kind of takes the theory that behind all the clutter, which leads to all kinds of stress, is an infinitely spacious place -- we don't usually get to experience it because we are caught up in all our material possessions and desires. So I'm clearing out and while I have a ways to go, I'm getting closer to experience what being clear feels like. It's great! This book is a gem. I'm not going back to packrat-dom.
