You'll find that most major airlines have routes that directly to Amsterdam from nearly any other country around the globe. From the UK or Ireland

There is no shortage of flights for tourists coming to Amsterdam from the UK, and you can pretty much take your pick from major airlines like KLM, British Midlands or British Airways. Not all flights are going to cost the same though, it will greatly depend on the airport you are leaving from.
