Prague is a sixth most visited city in Europe, Prague has a variety of sights and nightlife to suit every taste. So whether you are looking to explore the museums, gaze upon a rich mixture of architectural styles or simply sample the local food and drink, Prague has something to suit everybody.

It is little surprise that Prague has become one of the tourism capitals of Central Europe. This bustling city, the capital city of the Czech Republic is home to historic buildings, natural beauty, lively nightclubs and cocktail lounges and impressive shopping districts and an excellent destination for short breaks and holidays alike.

But that is just part of the appeal of Prague. This capital city is a prime vacation spot for fans of the arts, too. Prague is home to a busy music, dance, art and theater scene. Tourists can take in everything from Shakespeare to classical ballet to the latest avant-garde performance artist.

There are two main sights to see in Prague, one being Prague castle of course, the largest castle in the world, getting to it might be more of a challenge, but if you have a car hire then you can drive up to it in no time at all. You can view the whole of Prague from the castle, which is just beautiful. Also here is St Vitus Cathedral which contains the tombs of many Bohemian Kings. You can also watch the changing of the guards if you go at 12pm another day.

The second main sight to see is Charles Bridge. During the day expect it to be very busy with lots of people, artists selling their photos and paintings and many statues for you to admire. About half way along the bridge there will be steps down to a small square. If you can find your way around, there are some great café and pubs for you to have some lunch. Also, if you walk over to the water wheel, you will find a metal bar fence with hundreds of padlocks attached to it. It is a way that people lock their love for each other for eternity. How romantic, You could do this with a loved one!

Also if you walk around the corner you will find the John Lennon Wall, filled with graffiti and artwork remembering the great Beatle. You can spend hours reading things people have wrote, take some tissues, it may bring a tear to your eye.

Another attraction of Prague is that it offers affordable accommodation, especially when compared to the western European cities.

Accommodation is a large part of the cost of going on holiday, so it is also important to ensure that you find the ideal place to stay for your budget. A 3 star hotel in Prague will normally provide all the amenities and facilities needed for a comfortable and memorable stay, even for the most discerning of travelers. Often these hotels are housed in some remarkable buildings with inspiring architecture that often dates back to the Medieval, Baroque, or Renaissance eras.
