Opening the Gold Treasure Chest

What you are going to need is the special gold treasure chest key, which only opens up the gold treasure chests, not the old silver ones. How do you get this key? Well, there are a couple of ways that the key can be attained. One option is to buy the key with reward points. When the popup lets you know that you have a gold treasure chest, you can open it right then for 9 reward points. Otherwise, if you save the chest until later, you can go to the marketplace within the game and purchase the gold treasure chest keys at 9 reward points each, although there are times when they do go on sale for a cheaper price. Another way to get one of the keys is in the new mystery bags that you can send to friends within the Mafia games. Some of the bags do include these keys, which you can then use to open up the treasure chest of gold.

What Prizes are found in the Gold Treasure Chest

Once you open up the chest with the special key, there are a variety of different prizes that may be found inside of the chest. There are special items that are often found in the chests, such as the horse trailer, the Irish wolfhound, a pair of vintage binoculars, golden ticket, and more. Also, you have a chance at winning reward points in this chest. These special gold treasure chests give you the chance to win up to 1000 reward points at one time. You could find 1, 10, 50, 100, or even 1000 reward points when you open up one of these chests, which would definitely make it worth the 9 reward points you spent on the key if you get lucky.

Mafia Wars is definitely making the game a lot more exciting with these new collection. You never know when you are going to do a job and get one of the new gold chests. They contain some great prizes inside, and the chance at winning 1000 reward points definitely makes them exciting.
