Addiction to nicotine and quitting smoking
"quitting smoking is easy. I've done a thousand times" this famous quote of Mark Twain sums up the problems and challenges a large portion of the population have experienced when trying to quit smoking..... they just can't stick to it.
The challenge is is that smoking is an addiction like any other, as nicotine is in fact a drug. Addiction to nicotine is not only a large danger, but it is in fact a true poison.
The history behind nicotine is that it is a natural drug found in tobacco and is as addictive as heroin or cocaine. Many people, especially drug addicts feel that it is much more so addictive than either heroin, marijuana, or cocaine. The dependency or the addictive tendencies will be both physical and emotional, both needing to be dealt with upfront and in bold relief with when quitting smoking.
When smoke is inhaled, the nicotine in the smoke will enter deeply into the lungs, from bear it is carried throughout the body via the bloodstream. Nicotine will affect many parts of the body, blood vessels, heart, brain, metabolism and hormones. It is absolutely harmful and ultra-dangerous to the feed is of pregnant mothers, as it can be present in breast milk, and in the fluids as well as the placenta, amniotic fluids and the blood in the umbilical cord which in turn feeds into the newborn child.

Inhaling cigarette smoke sends nicotine to the brain quicker than any drug taken intravenously. Like with all drugs the body will eventually develop its own level of tolerance, thereby requiring much larger doses to satisfy the same level of cravings.
When quitting smoking one must be prepared for challenges and problems that are almost identical to any drug addict that is attempting to quit their particular addiction to their chosen poison.
Too many people however take their age and the length of time they have been smoking into consideration as an excuse not to stop today! Don't think it is too late in your life for you to quit smoking. No smokers who quit around the age of 50 can still cut the risk of dying in the following 15 years by 50%, compared with those who continue to smoke.
The body's natural defenses will take time to Kurdish the nicotine and other chemicals, sometimes only a couple of days but at other times as several weeks.
Once an individual excepts the challenge of quitting smoking they must be prepared for some challenging short times ahead.
The poison in nicotine is enough to kill a human would just a few drops in its purest form, although to take in that much in one goal or at one time by smoking you would have to smoke about a hundred cigarettes all at the same time, not one after another. That is some nasty poison to take into your system.
Quitting smoking and eliminating the need to nicotine does not need to be incredibly difficult you can put smoking today and plan your new and your new future with your loved ones, and now! Find the right method that works for you and stick with it! You are the only one that can change your life! You will be much healthier and have a much more enjoyable life!
