When it comes to video games, food, and music, do you know what are your children's favorite? Do you know about your child's everyday needs? Raising children is very hard and especially when you realize that they will continue to change things on you. Anyway, a few basic needs of the children should be realized by the parents. If we stay consistent and provide these needs when they are young hen they can move through life's challenges successfully. Sometime last year, we devised a list of a few things children require at a young age.
It is important to listen to your child with your heart as well as your ears. Sometimes your child says what they want in their on words but it does not necessarily mean what they need. What they need from you, you can tell from their behavior when they misbehave and this can be the clue.
Their importance should be made known to your child.
When other people value them, children learn to value themselves. We should strive to gauge the good things in them, and let them know- because they fail to realize it themselves sometimes. When they feel as if they matter to you, they will feel important in general.
To feel connected your child needs to be touched. Usually, children connect better through touch as opposed to words. When they feel physically connected to someone they trust and love, they will do better, as they learn that touch from you is good, safe and emotionally bonding.
To feel secure and safe is something your children need. An organized and structured home will give children a feeling of safety and also assist them in understanding the world by seeing how things are connected.
Your young son or daughter needs to make decisions. Allowing children to make decisions allows them to have some sort of control in the world. Children will learn the valuable lesson that choices also come with consequences from mistakes.
We need to make sure that we are there for our children in every way so that they will be able to grow into adulthood and become good people.
