Wedding Bands Scotland - How to Hire The Right Live Wedding Band
It's worth checking if there are any restrictions at your venue before speaking with any potential Scottish wedding bands. Some Wedding Venues may have restrictions on space or noise restrictions - it's worth clarifying this first.
Decide on what kind of atmosphere you are looking to create based on the music that you select. Do you want your guests 'getting down' in groups to upbeat music? Would you prefer a livelier energetic atmosphere suited to a younger age group? Or perhaps more mellow reception with soft music in the background?
Find content of the band playing live. Watching videos of the Scottish Wedding Band is best. Pay attention and see how the band interacts with its audience and see the variety of songs they perform - nobody wants a one or two hit wonder at their wedding!
Ask to see a sample wedding playlist as this will also help assess the band and their ability to play a wide range of songs. It is good practice to play a variety of different songs so that it appeals to the widest musical tastes possible.
Ask what equipment the band uses. A good established band will have invested in good equipment and if the band is enthusiastic about their equipment that is a very good sign! You also want to ask the wedding band what amount of room they require so you can reference that against the space you have at your venue.
When checking with the venue about space you also want to check if the stage will support a band with x number of members and equipment. You will also need to ensure that the venue can provide enough power points for the band.
Get references and testimonials from their previous customers - do they have any and how happy were they?
Put a basic contract in place that includes -
Date Times Clothes Breaks Musicians Playlists and Songs Equipment Food Rates No Show/Refund policy
When this is in place sit back and look forward to seeing your Scottish Wedding Band in action!
The Copycats are Scotlands Premier Live Party Band.
