How Do I Make My Wedding Day Unique?

If you are looking to make your wedding day extra special, you will want something that stands out from other weddings so that people will remember it for years to come. But with many weddings following the same routine and script how do you make your special day a little different?

The First Dance

The first dance is an important moment in any wedding so picking a song for it is important to any couple. Popular songs for the first dance include hits such as: "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith. "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" by Bryan Adams. Amazed by Lonestar. These are all popular classics for the first dance and are likely to be crowd pleasers. If however you fancy doing something a little different you could start off with one of these songs then midway through it you could have several of the bridesmaids or grooms to walk to the dancefloor with their heads bowed and some makeup. Upon reaching the dancefloor you could then surprise everyone by pulling off the dance routine from Michael Jacksons hit "Thriller". This is bound to wow the crowd and will be something to remember for all those who attend.

The Wedding Theme

A good way to have a memorable wedding is to have something that is themed a little different. Uniqueness can be achieved by thinking out of the box. If you and your partner are passionate about something together then this can be a great theme to base your wedding off. A couple come with a unique idea for a wedding theme who were big fans of James Bond. They decided that they would have their wedding reception based on the 007 secret agent. They named their tables after popular characters from the films such as Jaws and Goldfinger. The waiters were all wearing James Bond style tuxedos and a lot of the music played was from the films.

The Wedding Favours

The unique wedding theme of James Bond was then added to by the choice of wedding favours given to the guests and the wedding table decorations placed around the room. Some tables were based on Casino Royale and had novelty personalised poker chips. Other tables featured lighters in the form of a toy gun. For the decorations cardboard cut outs of the secret agents were place around the room adding to the effect.

James Bond isn’t the only unique theme that you could apply to a wedding. The idea is to think of something a little bit different and then apply to as many aspects as you please to give your wedding the unique theme you desire. Other ideas for unique themes could be Austin Powers, Shrek, The World Cup, Toy Story, Cinderella, Lord Of The Rings, Sex And The City or any of your favourite films. The choice is endless if you let your imagination run wild.
