Is your marriage going downhill and do you feel as though it is headed for divorce? In order to save your marriage you must do something. Marriages, even when you are still in love, can have some hard times for couples to go through. Start fixing your relationship now before you get to a place that is too hard to get out of, and put the romance back into your marriage now.

Years can cause many changes between a couple. One of the first things to go is romance. The kids needs and the finances can get in the way of the needs of the parents many times. Love and affection is always needed in the relationship. By ignoring these needs, the bond between the couple becomes stretched and may break. One person putting romance on the back burner and the other person is trying to keep it alive can cause resentment to build; and marriage can be crushed, without a doubt, by resentment. So what are some ways that you can put a little romance back into your marriage before it is too late?

It can be hard to find time for yourselves if there are children involved in a couple's relationship. Hire a babysitter or allow grandma and grandpa to spend some quality time with the kids at least every month or even every two months, in order to keep the romance alive in the marriage.; A dinner out alone sometimes can be a wonderful relationship refresher. You don't even need to be home or intimate to make it possible to show affection on a daily basis. A simple thing like a love note left in a place your partner can find it during the day will show how much you care. A simple thing like writing "I love you!" on a small piece of paper and leaving it where they will find it can build up the romance between the two of you plus it will show your partner that you care about them. You can also take a walk together. The most important thing sometime is to put aside your responsibilities such as dishes, the lawn, or bills and make time to spend alone with your partner. A walk together has always been a great way to spend time together and focus on your partner leaving all the distractions behind.

Take into consideration always your partner's needs. At this moment perhaps romance is not on the top of your to-do list. On your partner's list, it may be on the top though. Your partner may make some suggestions so be open to them. You must make time for your spouse or your relationship will surely end up in the gutter. We must take time during our busy schedules to make time for our spouse, as it it will make a big difference in our lives if we take just that moment to hold onto that lingering kiss.

Regarding your expectations for affection, sex, and romance in your marriage, remember to be open and honest with your spouse. Even though the where you expected your life to be and it hasn't gotten there, now is the time to start. Telling yourself that "someday" you will have the time to be romantic will only hurt your marriage. You will realize that "someday" may never come and you will have wasted all that time you had on nothing.
