I‘ve decided on a Suffolk Wedding for my marriage, and would like to share with you some of the reasons why.

First of all, Suffolk is a beautiful county – from coast to countryside, and everywhere in between! It is my opinion that there is nothing more special than a rural wedding; the glorious scenery looks amazing as a backdrop in wedding photographs, and the weather is usually much more bright and sunny than in the big cities, allowing for outdoor receptions under a marquee (which is what I plan to have). Suffolk has great travel links, especially from London (about an hour to Ipswich by train) where the majority of my guests are based. It also has easy access from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex.

Suffolk also has loads of wedding & reception venues to choose from – including grand mansions or converted listed buildings, and restaurants and traditional inns for receptions and overnight accommodation for guests. I am literally spoilt for choice but I had the help of a few sites that helped me to narrow down the figure.

Upon researching wedding venues in Suffolk, I found that many offer wedding packages and the services of wedding planners – a bonus for me, as someone who does not have a lot of time for planning but wants her wedding to be a perfect one!

However, if you would like to take on the mammoth task of planning your wedding yourself, you will be pleased to know that there are plenty of wedding services available for hire in Suffolk, including professional wedding photographers, cake-makers, toastmasters, wedding reception caterers. Whichever wedding service provider you choose to contact will be more than willing to discuss your requirements and adjust their services to meet your needs and budget – I know this from personal experience of having contacted many of the service providers thus mentioned above, and not one was lacking in friendliness and advice.

Suffolk wedding shops are also fantastic resources for all your needs, offering a range of jewellery, accessories and gifts. You’ll find a lot of unique and beautiful handmade items on offer – certainly better than giving the typical toaster as a wedding gift to your loved ones.

In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a Suffolk wedding. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll be amazed by the quantity and quality of services available from this quiet county in East Anglia!
