Gathering the Bride's closest friends and passing out unique bridal shower favors are just the beginning of a successful bridal shower. A good bridal shower host should make sure the attendees have a good time. One easy way to make sure your bridal shower gets remembered is by playing fun and funny bridal shower games.

One popular bridal shower game is called "Don't Say." The maid of honor or bridal shower hostess gives every guest a clothing pin or other trinket to attach to their shirts or dresses. Then they are told that there are three words must not be said. These could be "bride," "married," "husband," "wedding," or any other word one might expect to hear at a bridal shower. Any guest who is caught saying one these words has to give up their pin to the guest who caught them. At the end of the bridal the shower, the guest with the most pins wins. Part of the charm of this game is watching people find creative ways to communicate the forbidden words without actually saying them.

Another fun game is "How Well Do You Know the Bride." Quite simply, each guest is handed a sheet of paper with a list of questions about the Bride-to-be, and the guests answer them the best that they can. The winner is the guest who knows the most about the Bride. These questions can be simple as:

  • What country would the bride most like to visit?

  • When did the bride get engaged?

  • What color are the bride's eyes?

  • What is the bride's shoe size?

  • What is the bride's favorite restaurant?

  • What is the bride's favorite movie?

It can be very surprising just how much or how little guests know the person they have come to honor.

A game guests can also have fun with is "Who Am I?" In this, each guest wears a piece of paper with the name of a historical or famous person on their back. The guests then must ask others yes or no questions about they are. For example, if someone had "Amelia Earhart" taped to her back, she might ask "Am I female?" to which the answer would be no, then "Am I still alive?" to which the answer would also be no, and "Was a alive in the 20th century, to which answer would be yes and so on. This can be an interesting way to test people's knowledge of history and pop culture.

If you are hosting a kitchen themed bridal shower, you might be interested in playing "Herbs and Spices." Get ten cups numbered one through ten. Poke a hole in the bottom and place a different herb or spice in each of them. Have guests smell each spice and try to guess what they are by writing them down on a piece of paper. The guest with the best nose wins.

No matter what games you play at the bridal shower you host, the point is have fun spend some good times the soon to be happily married bride.
