Due to man's never-ending quest to understand the Life Matters that are only better understood from a spiritual standpoint, "Does Marriage Work?" has become one of the most pondered question in life. Despite the increasing number of divorces in our societies, I say yes, Marriage Works! What do you say?

Regardless of the number of years that you have been married, you will agree with me that marriage is the most delicate undertaking in this world, and for it to thrive and survive, it requires consistent nourishment, unabashed attention, constant compromise and the daily renewal of our marital vows. But with the world experiencing the HIGHEST level of stress, how do we make our marriage thrive and survive when statistics indicates that one in every two marriage NOW ends up in divorce?

No doubt a tough question when we consider the never-ending challenges that we face in our marriage; but it is a 'yes' nevertheless, Marriage Works ' when viewed from a spiritual standpoint only. Look at it this way: Nothing created by God has ever been recalled because everything God created, including you and me, are 'good', and meant to work. And he will not recall marriage even though some people have tried expanding it to include what Apostle Paul called "unnatural relations". In fact, if God were to recall any of His creation, it would be you and me for it does not seem that plants and animals 'grieve' His heart like we do.

I strongly believe that the three most challenging Life Matters are Marriage, Parenting and Spirituality; and they are all meant to work. And for you to be qualified to say otherwise, you must be ready to tell God that you have consistently followed ALL His 'not burdensome' advice about how to make your Marriage, Parenting and Spirituality work. Or don't you think it is only fair to have tried everything to the specification of the Creator before saying that His creation doesn't work?

This is why it is absolutely necessary to start seeing things from a spiritual perspective rather than from how the world sees it. In the words of Apostle Paul to the Corinthians, "Let us not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day; for our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So let us fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

The question should not be whether marriage works, but rather what are we yet to do to make it work! As a Life Coach who has worked with many people in many countries to energize their marriage, I hereby affirm to you that Marriage Works. In fact, my marriage to Stephanie remains a testimony for those who saw us turn our it around for the better ' and we have never looked back ever since.

Does marriage work? Yes, it does.
