Every adult has lost a love to a breakup. If this is you, I bet countless people have told you how much better off you are and you should simply move on.

What if you don't want to be a victim? What if you think your relationship was something special and should be saved? What if you want your ex back, and don't want to simply move forward?

Over 90 percent of break ups can be turned around. Those are pretty good odds if you do it right. The fact is you can get past what broke you up and can live happily ever after. The following tips will help you to get back my ex.

You need to discover what actually is behind your ex leaving. There may have been a final straw, an argument, a fight. This is not the reason for you splitting up. It is almost always a culmination of many things over time that drives a wedge between you. Chances are the blame belongs to both of you and not just one of you.

Most of the time it is not your actions but an attitude you display. Do you regularly disrespect them or what they say? Are you guilty of not listening? Did you take your ex for granted? Are you over critical? Are you too controlling? I hope you get the idea and the picture.

Simply apologizing for your actions will go in one ear and out the other. However apologizing for the attitude you had which hurt them will go light years further.

Here is an example. Would your ex be mad at you because you innocently flirted with another guy or girl, or would they be hurt by the fact that you doing so meant (to them) you have no respect for them?

Even if this is not what you meant, if they perceive it that way, it is true for them. What apology would move you further toward getting an ex back? I'm sorry I flirted, or I am sorry I didn't consider how you might have felt unloved by my actions? If you get this right, half the battle to get back an ex is over.

Next tip, be strong. This has nothing to do with the muscle tone. We are attracted to independent people. Do not be needy. This is the most unattractive trait in a person long term. We, as well as all animals, try to perpetuate survival of the fittest. Someone who is whiny, needy and clingy shows that they don't have any internal strength of character. We want a mate who can take care of themselves.

How many of you girls are smitten by a total wimp? Do any of you gentlemen want a wife and mother of your child that can't stand up for themselves? We have all been wired from birth to seek this out. Nothing could make you more attractive to your ex than them believing you don't need them.

Final tip, jealousy will not work. Trying this ploy will practically guarantee you WILL NOT get back your ex. Doing this is extremely transparent, and screams to your ex I have to have someone and I can't be alone. Your ex will see through it and be glad someone else has to deal with you.
