For many brides, the day they get married is both the happiest and most stressful day of their lives. There never seems to be enough time to get everything together, and it also seems as though, to them, that even with their friends and family members around them, that they’re all alone.

Most of the time, people put themselves under a lot of needless stress because they don’t plan everything ahead of time, or if they do, they forget the plan at the worst possible time, thus creating more stress. Planning a wedding, especially the last day, should be just as easy as frying a hamburger. Let’s take a quick look at this.

What are the final aspects of a bride’s wedding day? There’s the makeup, the wedding dress, and getting to the church on time.

What is the bride thinking about? Are the decorations going to look good? Will I look good? Will my bridesmaids look good? Will my mother look good? Will my fiancé show up? Will the limousine break down? Will it rain? Will I trip walking up the aisle? Will the pictures come out on the camera?

Here’s the thing some brides seem to forget. For one, if they plan ahead, they won’t have to worry about all these things, and more, on the wedding day. Two, no one can control things that are out of their hands, like the weather and how other people are going to do whatever they do, so it’s not worth worrying about. And three; nothing’s perfect, but pretty good is still fine.

This is why, on the last day, the only thing a bride should be worrying about is those few things she really does have control over, which we mentioned earlier. There has to be some trust that the things that have already been addressed will go off as well as they can, that people who have been tasked to do whatever they’re supposed to do on the wedding day will do it, and that, even if certain things fail, the day will go forward because it’s not about anything else except getting married.

If the bride is still going to fret, the day to do any last minute fretting should be the day before the wedding. Hopefully the bride has taken that day off from work so that she can not only make sure everything is up to snuff, but to take some moments to try to relax. Some women have been known to set that day up to go to the spa to get their nails and feet done. It wouldn’t hurt to slip a massage in for a little more relaxation. However, do it in the early afternoon; check on everything else first, so that, once you see things are in order, or you’re made sure to put everything in order, that your "me" time will help ease all the other stress you’ve been putting yourself through.

Remember, this is supposed to be your happy day; trust the people you’ve selected to do their jobs. Sometimes, we all have to relinquish the reins.
