Every bride wants to look their radiant best on their wedding day. But bridal beauty needn’t be a difficult process. Just follow this 12 month planner to achieve a top to toe bridal glow!

12 months to go

Time to get your body in shape. This is one of the first things you should think about, especially if you feel that you are not in very good shape at the present time. Enroll with a weight loss group &/or gym so that you will always have a support network for when things get tough. If you are particularly concerned about diet & weight loss then make an appointment to see your GP for advice.

10 months to go

Time to think about your wedding day hair, particularly if you will need to grow it to achieve the style you want. If you are planning on booking a stylist for the wedding day then start looking for one around six months before the wedding day & arrange a trial run.

8 months to go

Cellulite! We girls all know about it, we probably all have it & we all hate it! The best advice for beating cellulite is to drink around two liters of water per day & to brush the problem areas with a body brush each day.

6 months to go

Time to think about that wedding day smile. Achieving a confident smile may require you to look into teeth whitening products. Choose home treatments that can be used gradually over the course of the next six months to minimize any damage.

4 months to go

Time to review your body shape, to determine if your hard work at the gym & diet plan is working for you. You may be in need of a motivation boost, so consider hiring a personal trainer or roping in your maid of honor to join you. Around this time you should also start ex foliating your skin to achieve healthy smooth skin by the wedding day.

3 months to go

At this point it is time to review your beauty & skincare regime. If you need some advice have a chat with the beauticians at your local department store. Some counters will offer you free consultations so you can understand your skin better & change to a different regime if you need to.

2 months to go

If you have booked a make up artist then now is the time to have a trial run of your wedding day make up. If you are doing this in a salon then take a picture of your wedding dress & accessories with you.

1 month to go

Go for a facial! By now your skincare regime should have settled down & your skin will be looking gorgeous. Aim for a treatment that will illuminate & rejuvenate your skin.

3 weeks to go

If you want a sun kissed look for your wedding day then play it safe & fake it. Check out local fake tanning services or do it yourself at home. Buy a selection of products to test first & check that they won’t rub off on your dress.

2 weeks to go

Book an appointment with your hairdresser for a trim & deep conditioning treatment. If you find it too pricey at your local salon then do it at home yourself. If your hair is colored then get your roots done now.

1 week to go

Get your eyebrows shaped & any facial removed. Get a pedicure done as well so that your feet will look & feel great in your wedding shoes.

1 day to go

Get your fake tan done today along with a manicure. Don’t stay up too late either - you will need plenty of beauty sleep!
