Your relationships are frail bonds that have to be constantly built up and maintained to keep them healthy and allow them to blossom. All though not intended, breakups do happen, and they can be nerve racking, frustrating and very stressful. If your relationship is going through a breakup, you may want to try getting back at your ex, but is this really your best step to take? The most influential way that you can actually get back at your ex and put them on the spot, which may also repair the relationship, is showing him or her How important you are and were to them. You can use these 5 tips, which, by the way, are excellent methods to use to get your ex back as well.
-
Show some strength. You don't have to appear needy and this doesn't help you fix your broken relationship. Stop begging! Also stop clinging and engaging in behavior that makes you look like your desperate. Let him/her think that you've moved on by acting strong and moving on. When you've moved on, your ex will realize that they have not.
-
Keep communication to a minimum. Shutting the avenues of communication may appear counter productive when your focusing on getting things going again, but its an important step in getting back at your ex or getting your ex back. Don't talk to them much, just take a break from seeing them and let them sweat it out for awhile with no contact. This should clear their thinking up and realize how valuable your relationship was.
-
Stay flexible. You really don't need to be forceful with your ex, demanding that they take their things and get out or come and get their stuff by a certain date. Be flexible, be a listener and a sympathizer. This will be a surprise to your ex, and it may rekindle their desire to communicate, since the breakup lacks these things.
-
Get out! This is not the time to stay at home alone. Go out with some friends, just get out of your place for awhile. Expand your social network and enjoy a little entertainment. You don't need to date, unless you want to, just get out and enjoy some time with friend and family. This can be therapeutic and help convince your ex that they lost a gem.
-
Be yourself. Really. Your relationship was based on a good reason why you and your ex got together in the first place. Just go back to being You and it will remind your ex how much they loved you in the first place. Your renewed perception of yourself will surely rub off on your ex as well.
